Take some faith in the fact that it's better than the World Championship Arc, which is pretty much useless
Is it really, though?
We go from magical threats that can destroy the entire world, to a hacker trying to take Kaibacorp for himself.

Which is nothing new. Pegasus did it, the Big 5 did it, Noah did it to an extent. "Oh no, it's an enemy of Kaiba again!" gets old after so many times.

Pegasus had magical powers that could eat your soul and turn your hand into a gun

Noah and the Big Five were goobers that no one likes, but their tech skills were more impressive still.

The Schroeder bros are just a massive downgrade from world conquering and destroying.

True, I didn't find them that interesting or imposing. They came out of nowhere, resolved their conflict with Kaiba, and just left. Pretty disappointing for villains.

Holy s***, that's bad-ass.

Currently watching Yugi and Kaiba's fight against Dartz. Gotta say, I'm starting to like Dartz's slimy cowardly persona. He seems legitimately threatening in a serious way, unlike Pegasus who was somewhat comedic and Evil Malik who was just insane.

I'm also getting a Freeza vibe out of Dartz, and I don't know why.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

How come I'm the only one who thinks the Orichalcos arc was the best? Darker, did you like the arc as a whole, how does it rank compare to the Pegasus arc for example?

To me?

The Orichalcos arc starts off really weak but then starts to get better in the middle. I enjoyed the arcs with Pegasus and Malik a lot more from beginning to end, and the Noah arc was meh, it went on forever and it was pretty pointless. I at least enjoyed some of the fights in the Orichalcos arc, can't say the same for the Noah arc. I still haven't fully watched the Orichalcos arc, but here's some ranking.

Duelist Kingdom (Pegasus) > Battle City (Malik) >> Dungeon Dice Monsters >>> Waking the Dragons (Dartz) >> Virtual World (Noah) >>>>> Legendary Heroes (Big 5)

You still haven't gotten to the absolute best part. The amount of bulls*** Yugi pulls out makes everything pale in comparison against one of Dartz's monsters, and yet it's so hilariously epic.

It's my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh series.

I'm surprised, I consider Orichalcos arc far superior to the others, with the exception of BC (which is still below but not by a long-shot).

Wonder if you will like the final arc...

That's where I stopped watching. Dartz' voice bothered me in the Orichalcos arc.
His Japanese voice is pretty s***, not gonna lie

I'm cool with monsters going all kaiju and wrecking everything in the world, but this Orichalcos crap is weird.

What do you mean? It is different from a lot of the other arcs in tone and magic, yeah
It's weird how they jumped from Malik being the biggest threat to this.

A lot of things are happening and for no reason apparently. I'm guessing I'll have to wait like 12 episodes until they explain it.

Edit 1: Lol, Gorlag is called Balrog in the Japanese version, that's fun, he actually looks like one!

Edit 2: So, we went from the "God trio" to the "Dragon trio" as subtitutes. Huh. Also, a fun detail I barely notice is the fact that BEWD is a Dragon-Type monster yet not a Fire-Type one. Totally reminds me of Charizard being a Fire-Type Pokemon yet not a Dragon-Type one. How ironic, both are the poster dragons of the franchise.
Probably because the Orichalcos arc is filler

But it's still one of the more fun arcs

I do think the Orichalcos arc is pretty fun. It took away the oversaturation of the God Cards, which was beginning to grate on me.

Dang. Seeing all the three main heroes' monsters attacking at once was pretty epic. But I did not like how it did absolutely nothing.
Aaaand more monsters attack it and it still does nothing...

Edit: lolwut... This monster is pulling a Majin Boo and absorbing them...

Edit 2: Personally, I would've made the "Battle of Gods" a little bit longer.

Edit 3:So these kids didn't bring any money to do things in the USA, eh? Sounds like... bad questionable writing. Oh yeah, and now that they're talking about school, do these teens even have parents?

Edit 4: Okay, this is just messed up.

Who would create something so terrifying?

The real Battle of the Gods would be in the Dawn of the Duel arc, and those last quite a bit longer.

And now you're in the World Championship arc, which is arguably the worst

I like the start of the arc. It's a refresher after the darkness and heaviness of the Orichalcos shenanigans, but once the tournament starts and we get a look at the competitors, it tumbles so far down. Really, those goofs are the best duelists in the world? Where were they during Battle City? Or anywhere else? Ridiculous.

The best part is Kaiba's duel, but that's also got some of the most atrocious animation that it's difficult to watch.
