The first part of GX is pretty crap, I'll admit to that. The parts after that though, are a huge increase in quality and writing. I don't know much about 5DS. Zexal is s***. Arc 5 is kind of good

I've seen some people on reddit putting 5D's on par with the original so I might watch that one.
GX doesn't seem to have any negative response so I'll also watch it.
Zexal on the other hand seems to be the most hated anime of the franchise. But which one, the first or the second? Either way I'll probably not watch them.
Arc V maybe, although I don't know if I will be able to keep up with the series. Shows like these, I lost interest on them very fast. Hell, I've already lost interest on Gravity Falls and Steven Universe after barely 2 seasons. And they're really good! I've also started to lose interest on DBSuper, but that's no surprise.

I also have to watch Capsule Monsters because it's a continuation of the original, right?

Capsule Monsters is kind of meh. There's no real reason not to watch it, since it's not abominable like Zexal, but you're better off skipping them.

The original trilogy is definitely the best one, and it is capped off rather nicely with Bonds Beyond Time, which was decent enough.

Really good. Probably my favourite. I might have to do another ranking.

The Final Duel: (Zorc was the reason this hooked me up until the end, I love Satan-esque characters and Zorc was really threatening and powerful, which made up for some decent drama. Bakura as a villain wasn't great though. Too slimy for my taste. That final fight between Yugi and Atem is fantastic, my favourite in the entire anime.)

Battle City: (Malik was awesome. So crazy, so demented, so unstoppable and powerful. There was a real sense of dredd once the evil Malik came out and started stomping the crap out of everyone. The scene where Malik has the best "OH s***" face ever when Joey stands up to Ra's full power is amazing. You could see from a mile away the big pile of bricks Malik shat at that moment. I also like how great of a duelist Joey was in this arc particularly. I was getting tired of him being the comic relief.)

Duelist Kingdom: (Pegasus felt like the final boss to me. He was very threatening and pretty fun aswell. He was the creator of Duel Monsters so he had to be the best there is when it came to his OWN game, and then you add the Millenium Item on his eye which helps him read minds and he already sounds like an uber-powerful threat. But still a fun threat, which I like, because villains who manage to be funny and evil at the same time are among my favourites. I loved the Toon Monsters, they were really funny to me, and I wish there was more of them.)

Millenium World: (The ancient egypt is always really interesting despite being so boring and dry, it has this mythological aura of sheer awesomeness not many other places have. This arc was dedicated to the Other Yugi and his servants, and while it was pretty good at the beginning, it took a while for it to be great, and by then, we had already jumped into Zorc getting freed.)

Waking the Dragons: (Dartz had this aura of villainy I really liked. Can't really explain what it was, but something about him screamed big bad villain. And he was pretty dangerous. I also like the fact that his minions weren't just useless goons, but sympathetic characters with somewhat understandable motivations. Except for Mai, she sucked here. I applaud the writers for making such a great filler arc. Even if the arc didn't get good until the very end.)

Dungeon Dice Monsters: (I really liked the concept. It was really enjoyable and entertaining, but the main bad guy was sorta boring.)

Virtual World: (While it may have interrupted one of the best arcs for me, I did enjoy the final episodes a lot. Noah was a decent villain and a good threat. And that final scene with Gozaburo turning into a flame monster was awesome.)

Legendary Heroes: (The Big 5 were pathetic villains. Why would any good writer give a bunch of unlikeable goons their own arc? The only one I liked was the one who was disguised as Psycho Shocker. Maybe it was that awesome voice, but that's the only redeemable thing, really.)

Grand Championship: (Trash. I skipped over nearly every episode because I was literally falling asleep at the very beginning of each. This arc also has one of the most pathetic major villains I've ever seen.)

Another anime to add to the favourites list, anyway.

After watching GX's first episode...
-Voices could be improved.
-Soundtrack could be improved.
-Animation could be improved.

Just saying. I'm sure it gets better later, but I wasn't expecting such a low beginning to the second Yugioh series.

I can't wait until you jump on the bandwagon hating Jaden. It's glorious.

The truth is, jaden's probably a better duelist than Yugi.

Is he, though? He had more plot protection than Yugi ever did.

What about the 2010 movie, btw. Is it worth the watch?

It was good, imo, but it's better if you get the context behind it(though the movie has a recap section)

Honestly I fully understood BBY without seeing 5C's and enjoyed it plenty. Funny thing, the Abridged movie is actually easier to follow/makes more sense, but that's a no Brainer lol.

Bonds Beyond Time was a glorified one-sided duel. There was never any ounce of doubt that the protagonists would win. Goku got to bring out all of his toys, but it was never threatening. The duel never felt like it had high stakes even though it did.

It was cool to see Yugi again, but that's about it. The Dark Dimension (or whatever the new one is called, I forget) will be better than both previous movies.

Lol didn't know Paradox was a Super Saiyan. Makes so much sense though. Brings a new meaning to Rock the Dragon lol.
