What did Super do better?

Compared to Battle of Gods, what do you think Super has actually done better? I've made my point on this entire thing here. I think Super is a pile of Super crap that has not come to living up to the expectations we desired. From its animation, pacing and all that, Super has unfortunately been met with a lot of negative feedback and even the fans of the series can't deny that Super has some rough turns here and there.

With that said, as mentioned before, the one thing that Super probably did better here is Vegeta's rage against Beerus. While I certainly feel the actual battle with Beerus was done better in BOG, the build up which was crafted very quickly and suddenly in Battle of Gods, is given more depth in Super. There's far more emotions done in Vegeta's mutation in Super than in Battle of Gods.

IMO It made Beerus in general better.
The fight with SSJ2 Vegeta and Beerus, I enjoyed it here than BoG.

Beers's power is less vague and whatever he's using to paralyze people could be interesting to see later on.

Definitely agree with you regarding Vegeta's mutation, Dark Matter. Even though I think the build-up to the slap itself was a little too long, the emotions that were present throughout that whole scene were amazing.

Oh, and Goten showing up and actually spending some time with Goku during episode 1.

Hmm, I feel like Super has done a better job of establishing Beerus as a threat. I may not like the character as much, but despite knowing the outcome, I can feel the tension. I also like what they did with Vegeta's "mutation" and the events surrounding it like Bulma getting slapped and the battle between Beerus and Vegeta. I also just prefer the build up to these events more, even if it did drag a little. Seeing Goku's family life was fun, and seeing Vegeta struggle to enjoy a vacation was fantastic. Oh! I also love seeing Beerus doing his job.

Beerus, Whis and Vegeta.
Also, the humor and tone.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Videl looks hotter this time around.

It's cool how they can take as much time as they need to tell the story and develop the characters now. Even though they might be taking too long, that's still better than not taking long enough.

Also in general the picture quality is superior even if the animation itself isn't quite up to the same standards. Having said that, I'm not a fan of this Japanese trend of having characters clearly pasted onto the background by computer. Maybe if it was less obvious it would be better?

Manga wise, I actually like Super better than BoG
Anime wise, Super has done several things wrong (Ep 5 Animation, Dragged out story ect) , but its also done several right (Vegeta's rages boost, Family life with Goku and Vegeta ect.) Over all though I think its still too early to make any major judgement.

-We actually get to see "the destroyer" part of "Beerus the destroyer"
-Beerus in general is more threatening.
-The Bulma slap scene was way more dramatic.
-Vegeta vs Beerus was a lot better, and it felt like it had more power behind it. That part where Vegeta punched Beerus into the water, so good.
-The party in general feels more lively and real.
-Goku's return was much better in Super (Coulda done without the silly run though, but it was kind of funny).
-Vegeta going to the party because Bulma wants him to, not just because Beerus is there.
-The Beerus and King Vegeta flashback.
-#18, Piccolo and Tien vs Beerus.
-This one is 50/50, but more build up in general. Being a series things can get hyped up more, which lets the payoff be bigger, but Super tends to drag things out a bit too much.
-The part where it looks like Beerus will destroy the Earth before Goku arrives is much more dramatic in Super.

The manga is good at least. The anime is a drag but it has some good points:

-Vegeta's fight with Beerus is better than the one in the BOG movie
-Beerus is a better villain and has a more clear power scaling
-Goku spending time with Goten
-Vegeta's attempts to appease Beerus is more in-character and less harmful to his pride (seriously, why would Vegeta think Beerus cares about Bingo?).

Beerus is now much easier to hate and despise, that's good for villains.
it did that a bit too well...
Chef Vegeta was better than Bingo Vegeta.

SSj3 Goku vs Beerus: I liked how Super handle this fight. A better explanation on what Beerus thinks about the base saiyans and overall better fight in my opinion.

Oolong vs Beerus rock paper scissors: I like how BoG extended handled this with Yamchas plan failing and Beerus using his ears to hear the entire plan was hilarious.

Vegeta trying to please Beerus: I like how super handled this, I didn't like how Vegeta danced while in super Vegeta still swallowed his pride to please Beerus, in my opinion Vegeta did in a way without being too off putting while being funny at the same time.

Vegeta's mutation: I like how super handled the transformation, it had more of build up to Vegeta's rage like how he was begging Beerus and you could see him slowly losing control.

Beerus: At the moment, I prefer BoG, I'm lost on what they're trying to accomplish in Super.
