Don't really read mango	Mitas Sep 3 2015, 09:32 PM In line with what Pelador suggested, instead of creating a new land mass, why not use the massive expanses of land available in the countries that these refugees are fleeing? The idea of colonising other nations has sort of ended in the modern world, but I wonder at what point will the first-world countries decide to just go into these war-torn countries, tackle the likes of ISIS and Boko Haram, and then relocate people back to those countries (even offering people from Europe/America/wherever else the chance to relocate to a place with new job opportunities)? Obviously it would mean having to deploy armed forces in the areas to keep the law, and there would be opportunities for corruption to arise if it wasn't closely supervised, but it seems silly to overpopulate certain areas of the world and then leave others completely empty. People would say "why should we send our armies/people to deal with wars that aren't our business?", but I just don't understand that line of thinking. Why must looking out for 'your own' mean your own country? Can't looking out for your own mean looking out for other humans, regardless of nationalities? Maybe it's too early in our evolution to be thinking about ourselves as one nation, but I feel like that's the way we need to be thinking to fix this issue. If the issue at hand is there not being enough room/jobs/money to accommodate people fleeing a dangerous country, then the solution should be to fix that country. Idk, maybe I'm over-simplifying things, or overlooking something glaringly obvious as to why it wouldn't work, but I just feel like as an intelligent race, we should be above the whole 'us vs them' thing. We're all humans. Sounds like a job for the greatest country on Earth.

The glorious country of Liechtenstein. Duh. Honestly it's tough but the best I can imagine is a good rehabilitation program, free English law and language sessions that are required to be attended, preferably headed by culturally sensitive people or members of the same culture that have integrated fairly well. From there encourage them to be a party of the community and to help out the community. Also teach the populace already here to accept the new immigrants, thus would probably be a big undertaking that makes people mad though but in a perfectish world I'd want to try that.

Australia has been sending boats back! The public are very up and down about this. On the one hand is not a very nice thing to do, but on the other hand housing refugees cost tax payers millions of dollars a year and it's not really our responsibility to be forking out a bundle for people who want to illegally live here. I don't like the idea of sending boats back, but it is working.

Eliminate the threat and let the people move back instead of burdening everyone else due to the actions of a relatively small group like ISIS and whatever else. The math there makes no sense to me. Call ISIS 50,000 strong, forcing 300,000 people to flee who in turn burden many millions...does it not make the most sense to eliminate the smallest number here? Destroy ISIS and what bad is really going to happen...? Of course it's inevitable that soldiers would die but everyone in every military is at risk of death anyway, they're expendable it's part of their job. If 1000 soldiers die to save hundreds of thousands of people who would die were no action taken...the choice seems obvious.
