I really liked this episode this is probably the first time in Super I felt any emotion of the characters and it was an intense episode well done on this one Toei. I like this version of Beerus way more better than what he was in BoG. People are complaining how Beerus is in Super but hey people will complain about something so you can't please everyone.

Beerus has officially punched in his villain card and I like that. The main problem people had with BoG that there wasn't an villain I myself was disappointed. Now that Toei has fixed that Beerus feels more of an villain now and i'm happy. I feel like Toei has buffed Beerus alot they even went as far to give him some Mewtwo Psycho powers. Beerus even scares me an bit at this part especially when he was yelling at Vegeta. The build up for this episode was done nicely.

Alright watching the episode in subs made it even more enjoyable. This episode was good. Really nice build up and a lot of emotion

Video said "even piccolo lost to him". What does this imply to you guys? Piccolo>base gotenks? Or good buy at the least?

Were they Dragon Team subs? If not I wouldn't take anything they say to heart. After 6 weeks of constantly being mislead by the rushed subs, then finding out it was a mistranslation a day later, it gets a little old.

Assuming it's fairly accurate, can we take videls word for it?

I doubt it. Can Videl even sense power? She might just think Piccolo is the strongest because of his character. He's the stoic, serious type, while Gotenks is super childish. It probably just makes sense to her that Piccolo has more chance of winning in a fight. Plus Gohan has likely told her stories of how Piccolo trained him.

I thought it was a really good episode. I almost got chills when Vegeta was raging. It was very clearly stalling to fit in more episodes though.

I'm not sure if it's a mind trick or if it's a jutsu :p He can also apparently give Goku spider senses since Goku leaped away from him for some reason.

Also, I found another plot hole. Back in the Boo Saga, Goku and Vegeta would tell what was going on with Dabra and Yakon despite being unable to sense their ki. But in Super, Vegeta is totally helpless as to figure out where Beers is unless he has line of sight.

That was actually foreshadowing with Goku's body reacting on it's own without him thinking. Beerus comments that he thought about attacking, and Whis states in RoF that you lose fighting time when you think.

That makes no sense. If Goku is already reacting without thinking about it, then Whis's point is completely meaningless. Goku did think of attacking, but his dodge was an involuntary reflex, which is what Whis wanted, right? Also, why has Goku never displayed this spider sense before? You'd think that it would have helped him realize that Raditz was a threat and that Freeza wasn't bluffing about 50%?

Because Goku grew as a fighter. That's been a huge point ever since the start of Dragon Ball lol.

Not necessarily. Whis is training the Saiyans to adapt that fighting style permanently so it's second nature to them. Goku did it one time on what I'd consider a fluke. Even Goku was confused on why he jumped back.

Cop-out answer, but because AT hadn't thought of this fighting style yet.

But how should Goku have a psychic awareness of what his opponent is going to do? The whole thing makes no sense regardless unless Goku is actually psychic. If the point was just to guess what his opponent would do based on tells and movements, then I'm shocked Goku hasn't learned that yet.
