I didn't know there was a new 3DS. Now I'm confused.... Lol I hadn't even considered getting a Vita. But I do have a play station, so the games probably wouldn't be much different. |

The 3DS is a great system to bring on the go, it has many critically acclaimed titles and you can download and play NES, GB, GBC, GBA and Sega Game Gear games on it. There is a somewhat limited selection of games on the VC, but it has all the classic Mario and Zelda games at the very least. It also has a lot of good games in all genres you can buy. Yeah, there is a New 3DS that has refined controls. Not many games are exclusive to it yet, but I think it would be wiser to buy the newest hardware. Edited by Emmeth, Aug 17 2015, 06:43 PM.

The new 3DS is slightly different to most of Nintendo's handheld upgrades. The system is actually more powerful, and has a 2nd control stick attached to it. It can have new 3DS specific games, so far only Xenoblade, but I doubt they're going to make too many otherwise they'd be alienating the original 3DS owners. Personally, unless Xenoblade is important to you, I'd just go with the older 3DS if money is tight. Edit: It also has 2 more shoulder buttons, better 3D range and amiibo support. You can find a 2DS for about $40-50 on Craigslist (maybe eBay) and an original 3DS for about $60-80. That's the cheapest you should expect to get one for. I would imagine that's your best bet, OFG. The games will come naturally to you depending on what you like. -I've seen PS Vitas around the $100 range, but they are somewhat rare to come across. Still possible though, so start looking! ![]() -Sometimes, you find deals like this: Yoshi's New Island 3DS deal Edited by Axiomatically Prodigious, Aug 18 2015, 06:27 AM.

Yeah the Vita is really under rated. It's true that it has practically no first party games on it, least not many worth playing but it gets most of the good indie games like Don't Starve plus PSX and PS2 games, not a lot of meaningful games but certainly many to pass the time. The memory cards are fairly expensive though, try get one of those second hand. You could get multiple small ones though I have a 64GB one for games and a 16GB for music, videos and smaller less important games. If you're 100% focused on playing some Nintendo stuff then a DS is a better option but if you want a bit of everything a Vita might be a better option. For Nintendo I think you could be better off waiting, there's bound to be some great new 3DS games coming out but it's still new. You could always get a 2DS and then sell it later in favour of a N3DS. |

That first link seems like an amazing deal. It's an XL (though not a new 3DS) which I'd recommend since the original 3DS' screen can be quite tiny. And 7 of the most popular 3DS games (but you'll have to use your own judgement if they interest you). After checking American amazon, buying all those items new would cost $428.88. That's not including the case either. I'd say if all/most of those games interest you it's a great deal. |

Fist deal all the way to the moon! Text him and tell him $180 and you'll go pick it up today. (Or meet in a public place. I understand not everyone is 6'7" and intimidating. ) That's an extremely great deal! All of those games are A+++!!!

Well, it's been nearly a year. Did you ever end up buying a 3DS? ![]() Last week, I found a red *New* 3DS XL on craigslist for $90, so i snatched it. Then, I sold my 2DS for $50. I've also expanded my library of games as well. I'll take a picture to show you all of the games later today. Too many great games on the system now! |

Yeah, I want to get Sun. I actually just played through Omega Ruby again his past weekend. Then on Monday, I restarted Ocarina of Time. I've played OOT and MM countless times and I never seem to get bored of them!

Shame on you, you have Awakening but not Fates. That's okay Awakening was quite a bit better than all three versions of the games tbh. I actually have a lot of 3DS games. |

Whhaaaat?!!! Dude play it, it's a fantastic game. It's probably my second favorite Fire Emblem game! I love those games, they're my second favorite video game series. |
