I understand that DBZ is an older anime franchise and thus has been floating around throughout time ever since it finished but has anyone been able to watch the Dragon Ball series spoiler free or at lease with minimal spoilers?

I remember trying to watch the series as a child and I was exposed to soooo much all at once. When I would watch Z, I saw glimpses of the Buu saga while watching the Android Saga ad so on. Then overtime I just kinda researched everything, watched clips, and had the story down and understood. Years later, I watched the series in order (to the best of my ability aha). I still need to fully watch the Red Ribbon Army Arc from Dragon Ball lol.

I was 10 years old when I found dbz. My friend was the one who convinced me to watch it. I had no prior knowledge of dbz and I found a site where i could watch it. I started with Dragon Ball 001 and ended with GT. I watched straight through with the original Funi Dub. I was somehow able to avoid info, so I had a spoiler free experience. I've been a major fan for the past five years since.

I was never spoiled of the plot at all. I was always surprised as to what would happen next. The reason is that I watched it when it originally aired in the States. Of course, Dragon Ball had already aired years ago in Japan, but I didn't look up anything about the plot of DBZ because I was a kid and didn't feel the need to. I was just enjoying the show.

"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice"

I always saw glimpses from each saga when I tried to watch it back in the early-mid-late 90s, somehow the only series that had any consistency on the episodes while airing was GT. Imagine what's like to see an episode from the beginning of the Cell Saga then one from the end of the Boo Saga. And with a s***ty dub aswell, good god, the spanish dub has to be one of the worst DBZ dubs ever.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I actually didn't. The spoiler I had was when I was watching the Cell saga, when I was scrolling through TV channels

Yea, I remember coming home and watching DBZ on Toonami and I feel like I never got to see a saga in its entirety. Afterword I was able to watch the whole series. Once I was in college I ended up tracking down the entire Dragon Ball Series because I had never seen it. I pretty much marathon-ed the whole series so I wasn't spoiled on a lot of it! But having watched DBZ definitely made me familiar with certain main characters (Yamcha, Krillin, Bulma , Piccolo , etc... )

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I didn't get to. I never had the channel that it was on at home, so the only time I got to watch it was when I was at my grandparent's house. In between then, I had it spoiled because my friends all watched it and would talk about it, and we would always look stuff up online about it in IT classes, or sometimes at lunch.

I read the manga through later on, when I was 17/18ish, and watched the series, but by then I knew the general plot. Still enjoyed it though.

"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."
