Don't Anger the God of Destruction! The Heart Pounding Birthday Party! Seems like no one made a thread yet...shocking lol. Beerus is a OG in this episode. He utterly destroyed Buu and King Vegeta. He's actually ...EVIL in Super. Unlike his movie counter part. Spoiler: click to toggle

Watched the RAW episode. I kind of felt bad for Fat Buu. He got tossed. On a side note, next episode looks promising. Gohan still has his mystic form and Vegeta looks like he is about to break bad. Either transform or just burst at the seems with power. Something. |

I just saw the "RAW" as well and my goodness what a breath of fresh air from last weeks episode. Hell, a breath of fresh air from honestly the previous episodes. Chef Vegeta>>Bingo Vegeta for sure. It's certainly not going to be enough to make me think the series is great...or even good but its certainly improvement from the crap we saw before. Even the actor for Kaio-Sama sounds like he's putting in some real effort on his part. And let's be honest, you cheered when Beerus began manhandling Boo. Fat Boo has become one of the least likable characters right now and even though you aren't supposed to, you can't help but be glad Beerus is putting him in his place. |

Glad I'm not the only that doesn't like Mr. Buu. Honestly if they took him and Mr. Satan out completely I'd be 100% ok with that. |

I actually don't mind Mr. Satan. He's actually probably one of my favorite characters now ever since the Boo Arc. He's not arrogant anymore or trying to sprout nonsense of tricks or mirrors or something. He knows he's heavily outclassed but still tries his best and I personally enjoy some of the comedy surrounding him. He's someone whose come a long way from his appearance during the Cell Arc for sure. But Boo though? If Boo was killed off, I'm not sure who would shed a tear. He's making Gotenks of all people look mature. He's rude, obnoxious, unlikable and you can tell it's a hassle for Mr. Satan who's doing his best to look after this massive man child whom Boo doesn't even respect. That's how his personality works. He's childish, because he absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai. |

Yeah, but Super is making him out to be rather dangerous. This time he's the one that initiates the fight. |

Just saw the episode with subs. A fantastic episode in my opinion. Lots of fun scenes like Yamcha and Beerus' interaciton, Krillin and the wasabi, Trunks and Goten squirting Beerus in the face, and of course chef Vegeta. Bee on the binoculars also made me laugh for some reason. Kind of confused at Goku in the beginning. First he says he needs to get stronger, than Kaio tells him he needs to go to Earth, then Goku is just like "I'll just sit here. How long do I have to wait?". I love the scenes of everyone interacting at the party. Stuff like that just gives it so much life and soul. I like how they introduced Beerus to Vegeta here more than BoG. In BoG Vegeta just finds Beerus, but here we get a tense scene. And a little bit of humour. The extended King Vegeta flashback truly adds to Beerus brutality. It sounded like Beerus killed him. Beerus made it sound like he destroyed planet Vegeta. Beerus says he's friends of Vegeta rather than Bulma just assuming it. Seems a little out of character for Beerus. Krillin talking back to Vegeta, shows some nice development, I think. Trunks can be seen buying a water gun in episode 2, so there's some nice continuity there. I much prefer Beerus and Boo's fight here. There's slightly more build-up to it, and it makes some fun use of Boo's bubblegum-like body when Beerus spins him around really fast. I hope this is the standard Super keeps. |

It was also better animated than Goku vs Beerus. |

I really don't follow how Beers can be taken as a mentor now. He's punched in his villain card now and he's basically Freeza, but more unstable. I guess this is the ultimate proof of Goku and Vegeta's morality, whether they prefer getting stronger to working with a madman |

...how is this guy gonna be their mentor? It's one thing for him to beat everyone up and scare them, but Beerus here is straight up evil. Man, if they actually become his students... I have to say my respect with Goku will plummet immensely. I know he loves fighting more than anything and all but still. This guy is basically an intergalactic bully. At least we have Vegeta the cook. Edited by Tinny, Aug 16 2015, 04:59 PM.

He could have a change of heart. Piccolo was evil, yet he became Gohan's mentor. Also, I'm sure it's Whis who will be their mentor. |
