That too, especially since that throws all the power level scaling out of wack

Well, even if such a thing was said, there's a few ways to look at this:
1. It's been pointed out that one's power while fighting is noticeably different than when standing still, as pointed out here:
Strength Checker

Chapter: 334 (DBZ 140), P7.3
Context: seeing Super Saiyan Goku
Yamcha: “Wh…what ki…and he’s not even fighting…”

Since that is the case, one can assume Beerus doesn't see the depths of Goku's strength, although that certainly wouldn't do any favors for folks who argue that Beerus is capable of pinpointing what one is truly capable of. On the other hand...
2. Beerus could simply be goading Goku to increase his strength. That being said, I don't see the point in claiming he now sees how he could have beaten Goku...
3. Beerus is about as good at sensing energy as Kaioshin or Dabura.
4. Beerus is simply overestimating Freeza.
In any case, someone should ask Herms what is actually being said here.

Beers simply being an idiot is possible. He apparently didn't know of Whis's speed, despite having traveled with him before.

'Disappear' doesn't imply instantly. Again, we're given no time frame, so it's as good as any other statement we've had up 'till now.
That's true. I've heard people say whole towns have "disappeared" before, but that doesn't indicate it happened in the blink of an eye; perhaps quickly but not instantly.

So you think its best to say ruined?

Looked up the definition. Yeah, disappear doesn't neccessarily mean instantly vanish

Someone should post the question to Herms. Someone who hasn't lost their Kanzenshuu password.

Any distinct possibility he's just a world class d***? Like everyone else in the franchise? Granted its been 40 odd years or something since Beerus had last seen Frieza, so I'm sure he remembered him being strongest in the universe and just found it generally absurd that someone who wasn't him or Kid Buu was capable of destroying Frieza.

It's true he could just be a jerk, but I think that the cat being stupid makes more sense given the fact that he apparently doesn't know Whis is the fastest in the universe, despite travelling with him

Any reason he can't be both? I think we can agree that Beerus is a stupid, ridiculously powerful jerk. Given how he operates in the forms of media thus far it appears accurate.

Did everyone see the same translation where Goku said in his SSj2 form that he had enough power in his punches to send them into the next dimension?

Was that a miss translation?

That was a mistranslation. The line didn't mention anything about Goku sending people to other dimensions. It was about how Beerus was in another dimension of power IIRC.

I saw that one too, that was hilarious
At this point I want to make a "mistranslated Goku" vs at some point do we can have these extremely silly feats.
Probably just overly literal. He probably means like next week in English or something.
