Hey everyone.

First of all my English may not be the best.

I've just seen the movie Resurrection 'F' in theaters today and i would love to hear some more opinions. Keep in mind that these are only MY thoughts and I realize that i might be missing something or maybe I'm viewing this from a different angle. That is why I want your thoughts on this.

I thought the movie was "OK" at best. I enjoyed it because I enjoy everything DB related but I feel like we are pleased with bare minimum. Since the new era of DBZ started I understand they tried to reboot the whole Super Saiyan thing and that's perfectly fine. But Goku achieves this insanely powerful form by..Saiyans holding hands? Not by training really really hard or by being mentally pushed during a fight.

Ok that aside we now have a new Saiyan form to work from.

I started watching Dragon ball Super and I always like watching Dragon ball characters but ... nothing happened in the whole month and now I guess we're about to see pretty much everything from the exciting movie BOG? I can't say I'm counting days until the next episode.

Resurrection 'F' was, like i said, just 'OK' to me. When I remember most of the old Dragon ball movies and compare it to this one....it's not even close. The animation was amazing and all but why can't they take it a bit more seriously? That's the part that bothered me the most. Goku and Vegeta are taking turns fighting Frieza and the whole time we know (or at lease have a feeling) that he's not a real threat. I was really hoping that in this movie they finally go all out against an enemy again like in most older ones (for instance something like the Broly movie). It had so much potential.

I am not trying to hate on all of this but those are my thoughts of it. I might have some facts wrong and maybe the series is just starting out really slow.

Personally i feel like the whole taking turns thing is totally in character. They did that throughout the Boo Arc. But I do agree this movie compared to most other things dbz, the stakes didn't really feel that high. I never really felt the intensity or danger. I never was left thinking "How are they going to win after this?" (The Whis rewind time thing I already knew about accidentally). Other than that though I thought on a whole it was very entertaining.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

滅Are you frightened?

Training can only help so much man. The forms we thought were true successors to the original Super Saiyan form are nothing but more defined and powered up versions of said state.

Super Saiyan God is unique because it's incredibly hard for a Saiyan(s) to get (since a majority of them loved battle so much they commit planetary atrocities thus giving them impurity) on their own, even more so then the original Super Saiyan transformation. Plus it goes against their pride in working together since they prefer to go all solo during most battles.

Super Saiyan God 2 (SSJGSS) is very unique since it's power is greater then that of Super Saiyan God and grants them God ki and combining it with Super Saiyan. And apparently you have to be a "prodigy" to be able to make use of that transformation.

Tbh, after the original Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 (for Gohan) are a good fresh start into introducing effective forms to use during combat.
