Police audio of Christian Taylor shooting. He was shot in less than two seconds of being seen. Please watch FULL movie before commenting he was doing a crime. The dispatcher story changes multiple times throughout the call and 3 sources say he wasn't even doing anything wrong. An unknown police officer even said "This kid was not trying to break into a car." Police story. How do you break into a car dealership with a car to steal another car? Police said they haven't found any security video, but I recall the cops came bc the dealership video saw Christian Taylor crashing. This story extremely contradicting itself. There is too much commentary in this video adding bias before I can even know what happened. I found the security video that this guy was talking about. Christian's behavior is definitely odd. I know cops often approach the operator of stolen vehicles with their weapons drawn but the video doesn't show enough for me or possibly anyone who wasn't there to make a judgement on whether the shooting was justified. |

What kind of nonsense is that video? It's pretty clear that the person who said he sees a man in a straw hat isn't the same person who shot the guy, for one thing gunshots are fairly loud and damn was he quick to get back on the radio after firing a gun. So no doubt there was some altercation with the guy and another cop, who shot him. It's pretty clear the guy was high as balls so who knows what went down, he might have tried to attack someone, pull out a weapon or anything like that. As for why they had weapons out they had no idea what they were getting in to, could have been a gang of criminals trying to steal cars or just some crazy fool with a weapon. I wouldn't be walking in there without my weapon drawn anyway. Has it been said whether or not he had weapons on him? Not that it will matter to most because A) he's black and any black person being killed is unjustified B) The cops will have "planted" the evidence there 'cause they're all criminals! |

But Steve.. most reports mention nothing about race. So it's not even another "black guy gets killed! Racist!" Incident. I even said at the bottom of OP that it's not really a race thing compared to others. Christian was reported to be unarmed.

So that's nonsense then, going by that audio clip? There's no way you can fire 4 shots in just over a second and radio it in. And it's not a race thing but people are making it one as always, maybe they shouldn't have shot him we don't know but people act like he had a right to be in there breaking the law... |

If you look at the video that Agent G. Posted, it's clear that Christian Taylor wasn't acting normal. Perhaps once the toxicology report is released, it will shed some light on the matter. Everything in the US is about race now, regardless if that's what's actually going on. And a lot of times, racism is used to distract us from what the real problem is. |

Christian shouldn't have been jumping on cars at the dealership. And, the officers don't seem too clear about explaining the altercation. They're sounding like they caught him and started shooting. I'm waiting for more info myself. |

Btw in the OP. That was the first piece of news we had. So ignorance kinda was expected. This comes on the tails of another shooting where a white kid was shot in the chest for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was in a drive-through, cop pulled up in front of him. The kid probably panicked and apparently cop shot him and later claimed that he was going to ram him. Edited by QueenTD, Aug 10 2015, 08:01 PM.

Not surprising we didn't hear about that one is it  Wonder if they should at least start doing yearly or bi-yearly checks on officers, mental health, physical fitness etc. Most of the time these things just explode and people go crazy without thinking about it from the cops perspective but some of the time they definitely are far too quick to take their guns out and shoot. Like that one where that black family was pulled over for some reason and there's a fight then they drive away and the cops shoot at the van...even though there was a 5 year old or something in the back. A lot of the time it almost seems like they're just being lazy, with that one they had her on camera and her numberplate, the car and her details would have been found easily. Or they could have just chased her and she'd probably have pulled over eventually realizing her mistake. Easy to see why they might be on edge a lot 'cause at any given moment or any crime scene some random punk could come out and mow them down...but they certainly need to put a couple seconds of thought in to "should I shoot or not" at least. |

Actually it was briefly covered. This story isn't getting much coverage as well. People still on Sandra Bland than this. This story had 1 day of actual coverage then it just died down (both media and people talking about it. Similar to the white kid who got shot. 1 day of coverage and then it just died down. |
