Sexual orientation can still fall under that category, though since they do use their brains, too. To be honest, I'm not sure whether it's that but couldn't think of anything else to say it as.

Also, but of semantics but I'm pretty sure it's only if it interferes with you're ability to function as a member of society, though I imagine way back then it would have.

I have ADHD, that's a mental disorder (got meds for a time to treat it, but they made me... Irritable so I stopped using then during high school. Medicine is irrelevant here though). It's technically so in nature, but again down town New York ain't nature so who cares? And again our society doesn't really need you to be straight in order for you to function (maybe some people don't like you but you still have the same rights and all), so homosexuality isn't a bad thing in modern day society. Just to make sure, they deserve all the same rights heterosexuals deserve. It's a trait that technically isn't healthy for the species, but we're frankly overpopulated as it is. Google Chrome	There are populations of people lacking wisdom teeth from birth. This is technically a deficiency because our ancestors would have used them to chew food more efficiently. Nowadays, it's no longer necessary so while it's technically a deficiency, it's not actually affecting your life. That's gayness pretty much. Societal pressures are the problem

Of course there are more people these days than ever before but homosexuality seems more and more common. I don't believe it's just because more people come out of the proverbial closet now, though that obviously increases the numbers. Paedophilia is just the same only it's something most cultures don't accept, same as how in some countries if you're gay you get decapitated...such advanced people

People aren't going to be openly gay when it's forbidden/looked down upon. Now that it's not forbidden, it's only natural that more homosexuals come out.

Research in this area is still ongoing and f*** knows how many theories there are -- I'm only familiar with a few and can probably only explain one or two at the top of my head. And ye maybe there isn't some sort of hidden benefit to homosexuality we haven't found out yet, but let's wait until the pros figure it before we spew out unfounded claims.
