Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Yeah and all I had to type in to Google was "windows 10 sleep sound" lol something so vague got the right fix...gotta love the oddity of that Good so far but it doesn't feel like that much of an upgrade. Kind of feels like Windows 8 was just the beta version. But it runs nice and smooth and I've not been having problems with it, it was a little slow to find files but my drives just needed optimized.

Did you know Microsoft is saying 10 will be the last Windows, and from here on out there's just going to be updates.

I doubt that though I guess they might want to wait for some significant advancements in computer technology, to say it's definitely going to be the last is odd though. Ok so...audio issue cropped up again...it's certainly happening a lot less at least. Perhaps because I've not restarted.

That's odd, are you sure it's not a driver issue?

I broke down and bought it for $100. Currently installing drivers and stuff, as I had the bright idea to install windows 8 to get the free upgrade which stuck my PC into an update error loop. So I waited 2 days, bought the thing, and here I am. I like it so far.

I've also updated my sisters laptop, took my dad's crappy one that he didn't want anymore and after I took all the spam crap he had on it, I found that it could be updated (I have no idea what it was, but one of his many spam programs put some kind of cap on the CPU GHz, when I viewed it on the information page), and tomorrow I'll be upgrading my mom's computer. Then, I'll be taking that laptop and using it as like a media streaming HUB for everyone. This is what I have to say about Windows 10.

I guess they plan to make a completely new type of OS whenever a completely new, more powerful and more efficient OS architecture is designed. 10 is a good number to end Windows at after all. Yeah I'm just totally lost on what the problem is... Though now I've changed Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint, I don't know what it means but one was on local service as an account with a password and one wasn't. I believe it's to do with what can control the audio, so now that they're both on the same account...perhaps it's fixed... I'm feeling more and more that it's not a Windows 10 centric problem but more that installing it changed some random setting somewhere that's screwing stuff up.

And of course on the Toshiba site there's no mention of this model >.> it's seriously like the only one not in the list lol. Eh maybe it will work now, didn't seem to say anything different though. Maybe my TV is just outdated or something...time for a huge one I reckon Still finding it odd the same problem isn't showing up anywhere.

Another potential fix is to do with Realtek Audio Manager apparently it can put the audio off if the option to "mute the rear output device when a headphone is plugged in" is on, which it was. So I guess for some reason it can think headphones are in and divert the audio to them, even though they're not actually in. Could be because I have a dongle for a headset in my computer constantly but the headset is sitting in a drawer so obviously isn't being activated. Since changing that setting it's not happened...not yet anyway. Think if the issue persists I might just make a topic for it I do have a really basic sound card so I might need to upgrade that, don't want to unless it definitely is the problem though.

I found this site and three Posts really stand out to me. http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Audio-Sound/Sound-problem-on-toshiba-satellite/td-p/230880 Spoiler: click to toggle I found the answer thanks to another blog post--it's the Conexant driver that is the problem. Go to your Control Panel, open up Programs and Features, and Uninstall the Conexant driver. Reboot your laptop, and the Microsoft sound driver will load instead. Problem fixed! Yay Spoiler: click to toggle I updated the antheros Network adapter driver. It didnt work. I updated the Realtek wireless Lan driver. It didnt work. Finally, I disabled antheros Network adapter. And it worked! Toshiba still didnt provide solution for this problem. Spoiler: click to toggle I just want to say... you rock! Smiley Happy I couldn't hear to music or videos without that random-annoying sound. I was about to contact consumer-support to have it fixed before my two-year guarantee expires, but thanks to the solution you've provided in this thread now it's working fine. I reinstalled the audio drivers several times and it didn't solved the problem. I couldn't figure out that the problem was caused by the wireless-lan atheros driver. I installed the atheros driver provided by Toshiba: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads and now it works perfectly. I unfortunately got stuck with Windows 8.1 after my original laptop fried and while I don't mind it too much I still wish I had Windows 7. I guess I'm waiting in line for it though. Fun.

Just go two pages back and scroll down to the second to last post I made, click on the link and follow those instructions and you're ready to go. Also, if you don't have a way t save your data, then you should only do the upgrade. Wow. I really should put together a guide on how to Upgrade and Install Windows 10.
