If you force it to install without entering one yeah. Luckily I had a test dummy laptop that had the same copy of hacked 7 as this computer to try it on.
Didn't force a load, wouldn't get past the key activation.

Looks like i'm going to eat $200 soon.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

 How safe is it to install this?
I don't want all my files getting f***ed up and don't have anything big enough to back up all my stuff on to.

But I am tired of 8.1 lot of stuff keeps f***ing up with suspiciously good timing.


I think I might wait a few weeks, just to see if any horror stories crop up. I'm not paying for another OS if my computer gets messed up paying so much for 8.1 was sickening as it is.

People say it's great but I don't have a lot of faith in Windows...or at least, not a lot of luck with it.

 It's very safe. I've been looking around online and so far Windows 10 has received very positive results and reviews, and seems to be an overall success.

At this point I'm convinced the bugs and lags I was experiencing was just my piece of crap computer, because reports of those kind of bugs are very small, or I was just very unlucky. But I say go for it and upgrade. The biggest issue people have had with 10 is the upgrade it's self failing and there's been multiple reasons why that's been happening.

I personally know a guy who has a pirated modded version of 7 and he did the regular upgrade and it failed the upgrade, then turned his computer into a paperweight by also completely wiping his computer clean and putting something on it that would only allow him to install a legal copy of Windows.

I know some of the failed upgrades has been due to the Microsoft server being flooded with people trying to upgrade all at once, others it's been them trying to upgrade and not checking if their computer is compatible first, others have been due to driver problems, even some upgrade fails have been to the condition of the computer.

 So what you just go wherever you download it, start the download and let it install?

My mind can't accept it being so simple for I have never upgraded an OS but it sounds like it should be way more complicated...


I hear you can do away with the stupid app stuff for the most part, speeds I don't care too much about but that sounds excellent if true. The start menu is just awful in 8.

 Still waiting in line the traditional way, but I'll check out Saber's link tonight after work. I'm fine with ditching 8.1 for 10, though 7 will always have a place in my heart.

You can do here, you can choose to either Upgrade or just download it to use later. You can download an ISO or put it on a Flash Drive too, but those are for the clean install. But if you don't have anything to save your files to, then I would just do the Upgrade and that's it.

 Gotcha. I'm lucky, I only have 4GB of storage on my Flash Drive and that's just Music and Pictures. It would be a tone more if I had a bigger Computer and a large External Hard Drive.

 I'm trying to keep from Double Posting, but this is the details for Windows 10 when it comes to system requirements and the process.

Windows 10 System Requirements:
Processor: 1GHz or faster.

Simple click on which one you want, it downloads a file, you run it and this is the very simple process of upgrading to Windows 10.

Simply click next, then set back while your system upgrades...it's literally that simple to upgrade.

If it's an Upgrade you won't be asked for a Product Id, and whatever your computer was named before will still be used after, along with your password, and settings that's compatible with Windows 10 and programs.

I'll be showing the process of making and ISO and adding it to a Flash Drive later...

 Just finished installing. It has a smoother feel than 8.1, that's for sure. It reminds me of 7, which I do quite appreciate. For the ~5 minutes I've been using it, I'm glad I upgraded.

edit: For some reason, Chrome looks better now too.
