Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Don't worry, I'm using the spoiler tag just in case.

Just as a description, this query is about how I think the final kill should have been done.

What confuses me more is how GOKU's Kamehameha didn't destroy the earth? If 4th Form Frieza can destroy the earth by placing the palms of his hands on the ground surely an attack like that from God Goku should have wiped out everything in sight, given the fact it was fired at the ground also.

滅Are you frightened?

The Kamehameha can be controlled though it can destroy mountains if not toned down properly and moons when you need to get rid of Saiyan apes.

Why was Cell petrified of the earth being destroyed when Goku did it at the Cell Games then?

Goku was pointing the KHH straight down at that point. If he didn't change its position, it would've pierced the Earth and caused the whole thing to explode.

This has been happening throughout the series in my eyes. Other wise Goku's spirit bomb would've destroyed namek. Im pretty sure the attack mainly focuses on a certain target when used hence if surroundings are damaged, its only slightly.
