Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I read a review earlier tonight saying it's only pros were destruction and the large roster, but the rest of the game is repetitive, the controls are clunky, and it's just not very immersive with zilch replay value.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah I was excited for this but it looks like a PS2 game at best...

I was hoping with the Hollywood movie it'd get a huge budget, seems not.

That's how most Godzilla movies were, low-budget, and the game is still pretty fun. A shame I got the PS3 version in which you can't play as other monsters besides Big G and Fatzilla.
Repetitive? Kind of, but in every stage of God of Destruction mode you get to fight harder enemies. It's a great game if you're a diehard fan like me. If you're just a casual fan who hasn't seen the Jap.movies, then you might get disappointed.

I've seen the Jap movies, and the game is still repetitive. The character roster is deceptive since most characters have a similar moveset. Also, the game suffers from not feeling like high tension combat due to the movement style. Earlier Godzilla games allowed more freedom when you moved, that way the fighting can be more dynamic. This game wants to follow Godzilla's lumbering too much, so movement feels stiff. Characters have a puny move-set regardless and the fights....they're less than spectacular

Seriously, it's like they take turns charging at each other and firing their beams. The hits don't leave much of an impact, it almost looks like they phase through you. To make matters worse, even the graphics on the attacks are lack luster. Look at Destroyah's MO spray, all of the earlier games were capable of making it look distinct and unique, in this game, it's just a purple beam. Destroyah's horn katana also looks rather meh.

Also, you destroy way too many generators.
