Toriyama pretty much had free reign with the Battle of Gods script. He changed it to the point where it was a totally different film, and he also wrote the script for Fukkatsu no F, iirc.

Why, then, is he re-telling both of them so soon after creating them? It's not like the script included something that he didn't like; he could change what he wanted. Now, he's disregarding both of them in favour of Super.

I realise that artistic visions change, but this just paints him in a bad light, imo.
It's possible he's taken criticisms regarding these 2 films into account, and is making the necessary changes or additions. Plus, he was sorta limited by the fact that these were films, and not part of a series. There may have been a lot Toriyama wanted to do in Battle of Gods and Resurrection F, but couldn't.

1. its OK to speak english, you dont have to say the japanese name of a movie. you can say it in the english translation.
japanese is a language, not the holy word of god.

2. i cant really know for certain, but i believe he had a new idea of the events of super so he is retteling the story.
its not the first time he changes his mind. at first the story was about the dragon balls and comedy, then it became about martial arts, later the aliens(saiyans) and finish the series with frieza death. but he continues with the general idea to make gohan the hero, but he changed his mind to go with goku.
originally vegeta was a plain villain, only later became an anti-hero.

AT tend to change his vision alot so i doubt what we see now will be the same in 2017.

1. Well technically God in the case of Dragon Ball IS Akira Toriyama, so his words ARE Japanese, much like those of JHVH were in Hebrew regarding the Holy Bible. So, it kinda is the Holy Word of God in a sense lmao (No actual hate Shazam, just Jimmie ruffling, builds character)

2. I can see where you're both coming from. Sensei sure does change things a lot. I think he needs to pass the reigns. Yusuke Watanabe, Takao Koyama and even Atushi Maekawa all do just fine without Toriyama. There is no reason aside from the fandom demanding that Toriyama be involved in everything involving an orange Gi. Now that Toriyama is Lucasing Super into the Star Wars prequels, I think fans will be a bit more OK with him doing a more indirect job. That said, until he does and while people clamor for new work by Toriyama JUST so it can be canon and override things they don't like, he can George Lucas it up. He can CGI super Saiyan Bardock into the Majin Buu fight if he wants. Its all or effing nothing~!

Personally I think Super is OK so far. Same with BoG. Gonna see RoF/Fnf (Oh yeah, the English Frieza title sounds kinda like Transformers 2 abbreviation RotF, so I'll give the Japanese Romanization a pass.) in a month so that's a thing. No better or worse than the original trilogy as far as I'm concerned, I think it just doesn't feel quite as fresh is all.
