Episode 2 gets a good 8 or 9. The episode was ran perfectly, and it wasn't boring at all for a peaceful time, filler-like episode. What I mean by filler-like is, an episode without much fighting. That's why I can comfortably rate it high, but I'm ready for some fighting. |

It certainly had more content than the last episode. It still had the problem of a lack of focus though. The preview, and even name of the episode all focus on Vegeta's family trip, which only takes up about half the episode. Vegeta's scenes were hilarious, but as I already mentioned in another thread, I really don't like what they did with Vegeta in terms of his attitude towards his family. By the end of the Boo saga he looked like he finally came out of his shell as someone who openly loved his family, yet he spends the entire vacation part sulking, and wanting to leave. But it's Trunks and Bulma's reaction when he does ditch them that rubs me the wrong way most. This is Bulma's husband, and Trunks' father, and yet they find it a victory that he even spent a day with them, regardless of being moody the entire time. I just don't like what that says about the briefs family. That's probably my only gripe with the episode. Whis' conversation with the alien in the grunting language was pretty great. Watching Beerus completely destroy that alien was also a good way to establish Beerus' power early on, which if we didn't already see BoG, would have made Goku's fight with Beerus a little more exciting. Gregory being here is strange, especially since he was missing from BoG. Even weirder is that Kaio only addresses Bubbles, did the script only include Bubbles, but the animators put Gregory in too? I'll give it a 8.5 out of 10 Edited by Clearin, Jul 12 2015, 03:26 PM.

A 9, this episode was surprisingly entertaining and interesting. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |
