Here's a synopsis by Herms:
Herms

Kaio is going for a joyride around his small plane, cracking bad jokes to Bubbles and Gregory like always, when Goku suddenly teleports in. He crashes his car into his house in surprise, and is rather annoyed to learn that Goku has stopped by for more training.

On Earth, Bulma is flying over to a resort island in her personal plane, with Trunks napping in the back and Vegeta standing outside on the roof. When Vegeta complains that this won’t count as training, Bulma ramps up the speed and even dives underwater for a bit. Later while shopping on the island, Bulma asks Vegeta why he’s taking time out of his training to go on a trip like this with them. Vegeta flashes back to when he promised to take Trunks to an amusement park (in the Buu arc of Dragon Ball Z/Kai). Bulma notes that Vegeta seems somehow different since fighting Buu. The family goes on to enjoy various attractions around the island, including a train and a lot more shopping, before having dinner in a fancy restaurant. Trunks and Vegeta chow down on endless food, until Vegeta gets covered head to toe in ink while eating a whole octopus. This angers him so much that his power shatters the restaurant’s windows, but he finally manages to restrain himself.

While the family sit on the beach watching the sunset, Bulma sees a massive cruise ship and thinks that this might be a good place to hold her birthday party. As the nighttime festivities get increasingly rowdy and crowded, Vegeta is having trouble containing his irritation. Despite having admitted during the battle with Buu that Goku is #1, he still doesn’t want to fall behind on his training. At long last he finally snaps and blasts off. Bulma and Trunks are impressed that he managed to last so long, and Trunks happily calls out “thanks dad!” as Vegeta vanishes into the distance.

Out in the depths of space, Beerus is trying to remember the details of his dream as he and Whis head to another alien planet. On this planet, primitive green creatures with multiple eyes and arms battle against a gigantic winged dinosaur. The native’s stone weapons are no match, but in the end the dinosaur is single-handedly defeated by a larger, yellow member of their species, who appears to be their strongest warrior. No sooner has this warrior defeated the dinosaur when Whis appears before him, asking if he and Beerus can try some of the dinosaur’s meat. When the yellow warrior doesn’t understand him, Whis repeats the request in the native’s grunting language, but the warrior still isn’t persuaded.

Beerus loses patience; he’s more interested in remembering his dream than with the dinosaur meat. Whis points out the Beerus’ “prophetic” dreams have not been terribly accurate in the past, such as when Beerus dreamed than a pop idol would be moving in with them. Regardless, Beerus begins fighting the native warrior, who transforms into a larger red form. Despite this power-up, the warrior is completely outclassed by Beerus, who says that the fight is boring before casually killing his opponent. Beerus says the dinosaur meat doesn’t look that tasty, so he blows up the entire planet as well. As the planet is destroyed, the Elder Kaioshin off in the Kaioshin Realm can tell that something is wrong. He asks the younger East Kaioshin if he can sense it: the God of Destruction Beerus has awakened!

Back on Earth, Vegeta has returned to Capsule Corporation and starts training in the gravity room. Regardless of having called Goku #1, he is not content to remain #2 forever. On Kaio’s planet Goku has likewise begun to train, dragging huge weights around. Meanwhile all Kaio wants to do is repair his house, and he’s annoyed that Goku is messing his planet up even further (the huge weights leave noticeable tracks in the ground behind them).

Beerus and Whis hover in space watching the planet’s explosion. Beerus says that he never tires of watching worlds explode like this, but he is also reminded of the “ultimate warrior” from his dream, someone powerful enough to give even him a challenging fight. After thinking hard about it, he remembers this figure’s name as “Super Saiyan God”. Or maybe not. Him and Whis head back to their own home so that Beerus can try to remember better.

This sounds AMAZING!
EDIT: Here's the episode 3 preview. Boy, they jump right into Battle of Gods

Also, how much weight is Goku lifting :o_O: ?

Yes, it is. Not with subtitles though, and obviously I can't link it here.

Yes, I found it. Too bad it doesn't have subtitles. Oh well. I need to be careful because I'll continue watching if I leave it up.

Just watched it, and Vegeta's frustration was hilarious. That being said, I think this episode used too many still frames.

My Dear Melancholy,

They're using Z Kai for flashbacks. Smart move. Saving money and more time actually producing new content.

So was Bills waiting for Whis on his home planet for the dinosaur meat? If I remember correctly he was and if he was, he really went across a big part of the universe in like 30 seconds.

A saiyan's appetite... It's ridiculous.

I love seeing Vegeta being a dad. And he wants to be the very best again, huh? I guess his character is the same old :)

Whis is so cool, just speaking whatever language he wants :P And Beerus have so much potential as an anti-hero, I love it.

Good second episode, it's building up nicely.

Vegeta's family is honestly kinda sad. I thought he had changed after Boo, and learned to really appreciate his family. Instead he spends the entire trip sulking, and then when he ditches them all, Bulma and Trunks are HAPPY because they didn't think he'd last that long. Anyone who says Vegeta and Bulma are a good relationship are deluded. That family is so messed up.

That was a great episode. I was laughing the whole time, at Vegeta and Beerus. Vegeta is such a prince--his pissy attitude the whole vacation was just so him. Beerus is a brat, and I love that about him. Every comment he made somehow went back to him being unsatisfied.

Vegeta is gonna get super strong now that he admits that Goku is superior. Of course Vegeta's not gonna settle for second, though.

Another enjoyable episode. Vegeta sat in that little train made me laugh out loud. Goku is a self centered jerk as usual.

I get the impression that it's about to kick into gear now.

Everything does feel setup now. With Goku and Vegeta doing most of the fighting, they're the ones who really needed the large setup. But, I don't put it past them to show a little of Gohan, Krillin, and others before they all get down to business.

He has, he just doesn't like mingling with Earthlings and is distracted by the fact that Kakaratto is off training.
