Beerus slept for 39 years, and the Majin Boo arc takes place 37 years after planet Vegeta's destruction. Beerus told Freeza to destroy planet Vegeta while he slept, so if we assume Beerus went to sleep a year and a half or so before Planet Vegeta's destruction, things add up.

Chrome, Safari, IE Favourite Manga Rave Master, FLCL, .hack//legendofthetwilight, Naruto II	The whole timeline is a mess. That's why I'd say BoG is technically no more canon than GT, just because it and Super's Retcons that undo GT so to speak, also contradict the Ten Years Later storyline. Which chapter 518 and beyond. Which is part of the original manga. And things that actively contradict the original writings, those I don't think can be canon. But this isn't a canon fight, otherwise I would have brought Megatron and his Cannon. The only thing that weirds me out is that Yo Son Goku was, actually two years after too wasn't it? So yeah, I guess that makes sense. It still fits in that brief 5 year time frame that Goku and Bulma didn't see each other, as Bulma scolds him about during chapter 518/the end of season 9.

There are a ton of plot holes with the new material that doesn't make sense time-wise. I think it would've just been better if they made Super take place after the final chapter of DB.
