I'm pretty sure even though Ginyu enjoys working for Freeza that if he found someone more worth his time he'd be like, "See you later lizard man!" Then Gero has a personal feud with Goku, and just uses the Red Ribbon name because its familiar to him and he's not so arrogant to put his name on everything. But if I had to choose, I'd say Ginyu. He respects Freeza. Gero just worked there and liked how things went I'm guessing |

I think it was said, maybe AT said it, that Dr. Gero was the leader of the army, so yeah it doesn't take much loyalty or at-least not as much as Captain Ginyu to Freeza. But even then I'd say Giny was more loyal, just because he seemed to both enjoy working for and respect Freeza, like Benny said. |

Only Ginyu appeared to be somewhat loyal to me. Gero just wanted to take over the world and kill Goku because he could become a problem. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Ginyu was truly loyal. Gero was power hungry and selfish. |

I didn't even know what Gero was suppose to be loyal to at first. Anyway I'd say Ginyu. |
Piccolo is the best DBZ character EVER

Ginyu seemed to be genuinely committed and friendly towards Frieza. His interactions with Frieza were probably some of the most genial we've seen with the tyrant. He chose to continue fighting when offered the chance to surrender by Krillin, despite having an understanding on how powerful his enemies were. Plus, I doubt Frieza would allow any random grunt to become part of his elite special forces unit without having guarantee of their fidelity. Power may be an important factor to the Ginyu Force, but so is loyalty. Dr Gero sacrificed almost two decades of his life with a maddened obsession to kill Goku in retaliation for his destruction of the Red Ribbon Army. I don't think someone would isolate themselves from the world and spend so many resources and effort trying to kill someone if they weren't impacted in some profound way by the person. He certainly has the mark of a true blooded RRA member. In another topic I explained my theory on what Dr Gero's actions would have been after killing Goku and anyone else who stood in his way. Conquering the world would be on his agenda with perhaps an interest in seeing the Red Ribbon Army reconstituted and brought to its former glory. Of course, I suspect this is with him assuming a true leadership position instead of being a faceless scientist behind the curtain like before. If I had to choose between the two, I would say that Dr Gero is the more fanatical to his ideology. He delved into the world of inhumane experimentations, even mutilating his own body by turning himself into a cyborg with nothing human left except his brain, just so he could kill Goku for something that happened many years ago. The man went so far as to have his nemesis monitored for most of that time so he could gain a near-perfect understanding of his abilities and habits. |
