My Dear Melancholy,

Similar to my Freiza thread which I actually enjoy seeing people's thoughts on the matter. Now how about another character that got a huge name change. Even bigger than Freeza's(Original spelling)! @PrinceofSaiyans I see..what you mean with the "i". Funimation love that letter  . Wonder if they're the ones who named me <_< .

Which spelling you prefer? Vegito or Vegetto? I personally go with both depending on my mood . Mostly Vegito because it's what I was exposed to. But I do wonder why Vegito has an "i" if neither Vegeta nor Kakarot has an "I". Maybe Funimation originally intended for Vegeta to be spelled Vegita.

This is similar to my answer from the Freeza thread. I hate FUNimation's spelling. It irks me immensely. "Vegetto" looks better and is more accurate.

I agree with the above post i like vegetto more
once upon a time there lived a man, this man had all the awensers to every question man made, however he could not speak, when he awoke one morning he found two men discussing a topic he was all too familiar with so as usual he tried to explain the awenser to them, but they just ignored him and carried on at that momment a box came along and told the man:
"If you really want people to hear your ideas even if you are right to cant just tell them they must serch for it, if you like you can live inside me and people can come and ask me there questions and i shall respond with your awensers"
The man nodded and lived inside the box, people constantly consult the box for awensers but sometimes dont believe it,You know what the mans name was:

I second that.
Kakarotto + Vegeta = Vegetto, makes sense.
Kakarot + Vegeta = Vegito? Wha?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I like Vegetto and Vegerot. They both make sense to me.

Vegetto - Goku
Vegerot - Kakarrot

The reason he was called Vegetto in the original was, because Kakarot was Kakarotto (or at-least that's the way it was pronounced) in the original.

No-one asked, but still

Since it's Kakarrotto or something like that? Yeah, I getcha.

I can still see the Goku in Vegetto though.

Vegito doesn't make ANY sense, and it only confirms that Funimation has shoehorn an I somewhere in a person's name  . Yeah, Vegetto doesn't work with Funimation's use of Kakarot, but it at the very least remains faithful to his Japanese name.

Pretty much the same as everyone above and the same as my answer in the Freeza thread. This change makes less sense, as the 'I' isn't in Goku, Kakarot, or Vegeta.

Vegito is potentially worse than Vegerot. Not that the latter is inaccurate, just sounds ugly imo.

"I am the bone of my sword."

Frieza at least has that whole i before e thing going for it.

The i in Vegito is like an ugly wart that prevents you from showing your face in public.

Vegetto - Goku
Vegetto is Vegeta and Kakarotto

Saying Vegetto is based on Vegeta and Goku doesn't make sense, since it'd raise the question of where the second 't' came from.

I honestly don't like either of them all that much. Believe it or not, I like Vegerot better. It's probably because I never once called Goku Kakarotto.
