Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	This kinda fits in talk about anything since it can relate to games too but I'd rather not clutter the section up so as not much is going on here, here it goes. It seems whenever there's an anime character in Death Battle or One Minute Melee they get totally wrecked... Wtf is that? They use pre-timeskip Kenpachi and make him utterly pathetic like his Soul Society arc self who got beat by Ichigo. With no mention of current Kenpachi at all, do they even do research or what? Current Kenpachi should wreck this guy. And then there's Gaara vs Toph or whatever. They had part I Gaara, for whatever reason acting completely out of character fighting her and he lost in an incredibly ridiculous way. I love the idea of Death Battle and One Minute Melee but damn they're so biased when it involves anime/manga characters, it really spoils the fun.

I dunno if that could ever be legit or not but that's another one on the tally either way.

Long answer. they're doing their best to bring science and logic to cartoon smack downs in a fair (Non-powers along, only use presented evidence) sort of way. Ben and Chad do not have anything against Toriyama or Takahashi or Kishimoto or anything. They are entertainers presenting an opinion. That is it. Its almost become a cliche of itself to be an anime fan and hate on death battle.

They may have big egos (calling themselves "the experts", when they're really nothing of the sort), but I haven't seen any evidence of bias, just misguided fan anger. Remember, these are the guys that told us Goku can travel at 100 times the speed of light or something. They also let him use powers that he has in the anime and movies.

Oh wait, Guts stomped. ...sorry for the mean opening, I just hate it when they call them anime haters despite them explicitly preferring DBZ over Superman in multiple cases. Feels like they deliberately ignore the creators own words in favour of... I don't know what I'd call it. I think they try to do as good a job as they can, and if they are biased against them, it's more likely that they're trying to counter their previous bias than just plain old regular bias. I remember they said something to the effect of "how many episodes does it take to be bought off by DC? Just one." As a joke to how people call them fanboys or accuse them of bring bribed . As for Kirby vs Buu, having watched it I have to say I understand their logic with it, Kirby does have much more power than people usually assume, plus well, his stomach is evidently an alternate dimension, meaning eating the attack does work as a dodge of sorts. Honestly I think I should start posting Guts vs Nightmare whenever someone says they hate anime, though that'll probably lead to someone (not you, you're fine) saying they did it to throw is off the trail. Or that Guts is a manga character nut an anime character. Or something. End point, Guts vs Nightmare is a good example of anime winning death battle. They basically declared that a stomp imo.

Well there's also Vegeta vs Shadow, of which his super Shadow form is invincible, and it'd be pretty easy to just hand a win to Shadow because Vegeta can't hurt Super Shadow, at least if I understand the Super hedgehog form. Don't forget when Gundam Epyon kicked the Tigerzord's a** despite it basically getting all the zords anyway. Honestly on the whole it looks like death battle wise anime has won a decent amount of battles, more than I would expect from someone that is biased against anime. As for the rest, they tend to make fun of everything, the show is partly comedy. And while I can certainly see one disagree with them there, especially if they think Gaara is as fast as they say (speed of sound and whatnot), but their analysis did make sense. Basically the idea is that she controls sand, Earth on general, Metal, can "see" earth that's in the air, and can this more or less counter ending he throws at her that's sand related. So I can see why they'd choose Toph. As for the fight it's pretty much just there to get the animators just something to do, I never take them seriously, or if I do it's about as much an indicator as Avengers vs Justice League. Lex Luthor obviously I'm assuming this leads back to the fights, I can't comment on one minute melee much but Dio lost in a way that very much mirrored his cannon death, so I thought it was fitting even if I knew jack about his opponent. Their logic as to why x wins is usually solid, I can believe someone would come to that conclusion. Well they basically said Kirby has, and without a scratch. On a planet they determined was similar in size to Earth as well. So blowing up the planet doesn't actually matter in this fight, especially since he can just ride around on his star. Blowing up the planet would probably just leave buu vulnerable for a bit. I guess one could say they only like 90s anime but that feels like it's stretching. And doesn't explain Buu or Pikachu losing. Edited by Tinny, Jul 8 2015, 01:45 PM.

Chrome	Oni is the physical manifestation of destruction itself, the darkest power known to man (barely known to man). He is the only known entity to have merged with the power as it is implied people usually die of insanity before they reach anywhere close to the power he possesses. In short, he is more than man or a God, he is a literal force of nature who has been consumed by that energy entirely, meaning he is so far gone you can only HOPE to kill him to even stop him; he is incapable of anything other than destruction. (I main Oni in SF4) It's hard to translate that power over to Bleach as well as vice versa when it comes to Kenpachi. I guess they're doing the best they can but there really is no clear cut winner here solely because there is no equal ground to base their powers. Edited by l LORD QUICK l, Jul 13 2015, 06:03 PM.
