So I guess anime filler is now canon; Spoilers for episode 1

Posts: 48 Group: Member Member #9,768 Joined: July 19, 2013	For those who watched the first episode (I was lucky to watch it subbed), some of you may have noticed that Miss Piiza, Caroni and Pirozhki made cameo appearances. If you don't remember who they were, they were the announcer and Satan's two student that appeared in anime filler of the Cell games. Given their appearance, should we now consider anime filler from Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z canon, especially if this continues to happen?

I don't really count that as being canon, but even if it was, there's FAR worse canon to reference from the old anime.

Akira Toriyama doesnt have a complete power (if any) over Toei Animation. they get a time slot and signed for certain number of episodes with commercials and then animate for these conditions. they also know that at some point they will catch up to the manga so they have a choice, make a kai style anime and then make filler arcs or make a DBZ style anime-story filled with fillers scenes and characters. personally i prefer the second option. even if the small fillers are bad and contradict manga, they are still better than a full filler arc YUCK !
