You could always start everyone out equal and just have a level requirement for each Saiyan Form, you could do the same with Namekian Fusion, Kaioken and even the Potential Unlock. This is why I'm sure a brainstorming group could come up with a proper solution... |

Why not percentage increases like they did in Budokai? That way no one is radically outclassed but then transformations are more than aesthetic. Alternately new forms can just mean new techniques and not have anything to do with stat boosts. At the cost of stamina I suppose. But then again Super Saiyan Four would break that chain. |

Fine by me...if it makes things balanced then it's all good. After you're done having a competitive PVP match, you stroke your ego by switching modes to Accurate and pick someone from the Frieza arc and have a completely one sided beat down Haha. |

Actually I figured you could set the levels of your opponent and you, so in competitive its always equal, but for say a non competitive mode you might have fighters with levels fixed, maybe have a 3v1 where the one guy has let's say 60 and everyone else is at levels like 20. Maybe recommended levels for show accuracy in regular versus you do with your buddies and such. That way you can finally have your dreams of Tien defeating Vegeta Raditz and Nappa all at the same time if your so desire... Or have the battle of Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan against Nappa show accurate. |

Yeah, we talked about having multiple playing modes to keep things interesting and still have the spirit of Dragon Ball. We talked about having an Accurate, Competitive and Role Playing Modes. So you can have a competitive fight in PVP, turn around and give a hilarious beat down on any character that's way below you, and you can have the Role Play power scaling...that way all basis are covered and you even include the Dragon Ball fans and make then feel like they're really in the DB world. |

True, I was thinking the most simple way to go about it is a leveling system where you can set level in multiplayer. In addition, I had an idea about making a custom alien, since you see allot of those types in Z, Ginyu force being a prominent example. Edited by Tinny, Jul 22 2015, 07:31 PM.

Well yeah...the idea is to have a complete leveling system, but at the same time have multiple playing modes...so it's realistic to Dragon Ball but also fair. I like that idea, it would be interesting to see that mechanic in a DB game. |

I personally wasn't too fond of xenoverse.. it's got lousy combos, nothing special really. just a two button spam fest for melee. literally all you need is timing. I'd like a Budokai tenkaichi 3 remake in HD with everything re animated. BUUT.. Way less characters. No several versions of the same character. Variety. Unique characters. Don't have them all play the same. Larger stages. more complexity in combos. no cutscenes when using moves. No melee supers. If you want to do a nice Melee attack, learn how to play and create good melee combos. Afterall, in dragon ball z other than the non canon dragom fist there aren't really any Special attacks that are melee. "Meteor Combination" The "move"Goku used against piccolo in the martial arts tournament im dragon ball. He charged him with an elbow, smacked him a bit, flew up and used a kamehameha. really, just Goku creating a combo. CaC's. like xenoverse, but the attribute point system will apply on its own. Like how in Dragon Ball Z legacy of Goku 2, whenever you leveled up, the game applied the attrivutes randomly. this way the game will be alot more balanced when using CaC's. I think CaC fanservice shouldn't really be a thing, a quality game is better than a bunch of crap that fans like. sure add it, because it'll give you money, but don't do it at the expense of quality. Two main menus. one for online and one for offline. i have more but i forget.. (i really hope that made sense) |

Why less characters...it's been a thing to stuff as many characters in a DB game, why stop that tradition. As a matter of fact, we have yet to play a DB game where we have every character in it, and with todays technology it should've already been done. You can have character creation and a good quality story too, heck most of the stories I've seen in some of these Game Ideas Threads are better than what Xenoverse and Battle of Z...you just have to get the right team working on it. There needs to be more time between games, heck take as much time as Rocksteady did on Batman Arkham Knight...I would like to see the quality in that kind of game. Yes, I know about the PC Port, but you get my point. |

why? because most of the characters are not only almost never used, but they'll be copies of each other. Also, make it so the game requires skill and isn't very noob friendly. i freaking hate it when the game is easy. noobs ruin everything. either that or give them an easy mode. |

This is why there needs to be more time between DBZ games...which is also my gripe with WWE games. They pretty much just copy and paste the same characters over and over. We're discussing if there was proper time to make a complete and accurate Dragon Ball game. |

I'd like a Dragon Ball Z game where the put 5 solid years of effort into it. for now they can keep shoving DLCs into Xenoverse. Hell even a 2D game is great. If you haven't heard of the W.I.P Mugen game Hyper Dragon Ball Z, check it out. For now it has Goku, SSJ Goku, Veg, Ssj majing veg, freeza, mystic gohan and babidi as playable. it's fanmade obviously. it's good. too bad they're nerfing the AIs. maybe a Mortal Kombat X type of Dbz game. (just more dbz style) with gore and hellish kills |

I don't mind the idea of it taking Five years for a DBZ Game, it gives me comfort in knowing real effort is put into the game. Eh, I wouldn't play a Mortal Kombat game...it got old to me by Mortal Kombat 3. We've already been there and done that with multiple games that's a clone of MK. I saw gameplay of that game and I didn't care for what I saw... I know I'm a picky gamer and I don't like the same thing done again and again. I do like the idea of a DBZ game with gore and wicked kills, it would be awesome to see Frieza actually getting cut in half with his discs. I would be up for an M rated DB game, because let's face it...for the game to be 100% accurate it would need to be M rated. Edit: Another that should be required in a DB game is a 3D Animation display of the moves you're equipping. More times that I could count I had to equip a new move, build myself up and usually end up being completely disappointed in what the attack was...at least show us what it looks like so we don't have to go through all of that just to end up being disappointed in the end. Besides that just adds another layer to character creation that should've been in these games ever since Ultimate Tenkaichi. Edited by Saberoph, Jul 24 2015, 06:42 AM.

well i didn't mean full on mortal kombat like. and for the game to be 100% dbz like, it would also need to be virtual reality. like Sword Art Online.. .. feeling punches from dbz characters would feel like hell. which is a good thing, you don't want to get hurt so you'd fight like your life depended on it and s*** would get so awesome >< I'd like both a 3D game, 2D game and a Virtual Reality DBZ game (of course if they ever tried it, they'd take at least 5 tries to get it done right.. poor us, it would take a century lol) But yeah, and difficulty needs to exist. enough making noob friendly games. add some Gore, nasty kills and visual. make us wanna puke. but don't exaggerate. make it realistic. and dont take away the animated look. because a real life dbz like thing wouldn't look as good |

I had an idea, what if you could create your own techniques? With it being so you couch customize different moves with different properties to suit the idea you had for a character and his/her fighting style. Variants on techniques at least. |
