When it comes to the roster, we need everyone.![]() We need Launch, we need Cymbal and Drum, we need some of Freeza's henchmen(they can make up their own movesets, they might've showed some moves in the anime), we need some of the Red Ribbon army guys, we need Pui Pui and Yakon, we need all the minor bad guys from GT and not just a few characters, we need all the Shadow Dragons(not just Syn and Nuova, for God's sake). Also a few guest characters like Arale, Neko Majin and Jaco wouldn't be too bad. There's tons of Toriyama creations that could be included, like Ackman or Beelzebub. I'd like to have that Burst Limit Street Fighter-ish point of view. I believe DBZ BT3 had a very bad camera when it comes to two players, and I always had to play it alone to fully enjoy it. |

I do agree about the roster...this needs to have the largest character roster to date. All Characters and Forms, all versions of Clothing(Training worn and Battle damaged), with all of their attacks. Also, every piece of clothing that ever Dragon Ball Character has worn, would be available for all Created Characters. |

I don't think we'll ever have the character creator that we deserve, it's kinda useless in a DBZ fighting game aside from amking everything more fun with friends online like with Xenoverse. |

The only thing that they really need to get better at is the character creator. Like seriously, it's been so hideous and crappy in all DBZ games it's been featured in.

Yeah, and the one from Ultimate Tenkaichi if by far the worst. What were they thinking? Keeping the model types separate and not allowing the characters to share the attacks, I did like the options to assign different auras in Base and Super Saiyan, it was also nice to have extra attack damage. It's really cool to see with a Base having Frieza's purple aura using the times 20x Kaioken Kamehameha, your purple aura raises along with the red Kaioken aura too...it does look pretty cool. Even with that, I thought the Hero story was boring and way too short with a short amount off clothing and hairstyles. The Super and Ultimate attack list was decent, but it should've been at least double, the way Kaioken was handled was pretty poor too, it should've been a boast not a super attack. What really got on my nerves was other than the Budokai(Which is the best way to level up), there wasn't anything else to do after that. It was nice that you got to continue to level up even after you beat the game, but the fact that unless you did things perfect then you can't level everything up to an A rank, you end up with some either a high B rank, or the A rank only halfway full. I did like the fact that you could replay missions, but the option to replay them at your max level would be interesting...you could end up with different dialogue and cut scenes. I do think we'll eventually get a game with proper character creation and the ability to customize pretty much everything. I know I've posted a lot about what I would like to see and a lot of it hasn't even seen this Thread, so just for the heck of it I'm going to post everything I've already talked about in this very Post. Is it going to be a long one? Heck yes, but just look at this as more of a recap Post for this Thread. What I would like to see in a Dragon Ball Game. 1. Fully customization character creation including, character models(hight, weight, muscle tone, skin color, hair colors), hairstyles, clothing(clothes that improve stats, that doesn't, super light and durable clothing, basic human cloth clothing, weighted clothing, multiple styles seen in every DB series, clothing colors, mix and match). 2. Multiple races: Human, Saiyan(Hybrids too), Aliens(Different sub categories based on the Aliens we see in the DB Universe), Cyborgs(From multiple races, Saiyan and Hybrid, Human, Alien, Changeling...can't think of any more lol),Android(It can look like whatever the player wants), Bio-mechanical(Cell), Tsufuru, Majin(Any kind the player wants, even the human version too), Demon(Basically just like Dabra), Arcosian(Frieza's race, and you can have Transformations just like Frieza and Cooler), Kaioshin, Namekian. 3. Different Genders and Race versions: This goes with #2 and plays off #1. Of course there needs to be a Male and Female of every Race, you get to fully customize how each race looks as in if you chose a Majin, but you wanted it to have the height of Super Boo, but the muscles of Buff Boo, then you can, now take that example and apply that to every race. 4. Transformations, Power Ups and Versions: I would have Kaioken, x3, x4, x10, x20, Great Ape, SS, SS Grade 2 and 3, Ascended SS, SS3, Super Great Ape, SS4, Saiyan God, SS God, Ascended SS God, SS God 3, SS God 4, Super Namekian, Three Namek Merges, Five Arcosian Dramatic Transformations, Three Bio-mechanical Absorption's(Cell's Versions), Three Bio-Tsufuru mind controlling, Super Android, Four Majin Absorption's along with able to split from your evil side and remerge and Ultimate(Any Race but Android). I would allow Arcosians to be able to fully customize their Transformations, this really can't be done for Bio mechanical, or Majin since the Transformations/Forms are based on who you Absorb. Also, if you controlled someone's mind as a Tsufuru, you would change a little until you Transformed, but your initial Tsufuru Control state would still look mostly like the person you're controlling. I would be more freely for the Final Form, even though in GT it was still slightly based on who Baby controlled, but that would make the Tsufuru too restricted. 5. Multiple Planets and Free Roam: Every Planet that's been visited in the Dragon Ball Universe(I know that's a lot, but that's why you have loading screens when you enter the orbit of each planet), have full free roam of the entire planet of every planet and if you're an Android, Cyborg, Majin, Arcosian's or an Alien that can breathe in space, then you can leave your ship in space and move from there. 6. Power gains and Training: I do believe you can have a game where the power gains are like it was in the Manga, but to counter this you can make the game more like a full blown RPG, so you have areas that are leveled, so you can't go everywhere and stomp from the very beginning. I would also have Planets leveled too, so say you can't go to Namek until you've reached a certain level. I would also have Training exactly the way it was in the Manga too, which means I would allow Zenkai's, but within reason or it would be exploited all the time and people would power level. So, I wouldn't allow Zenkai's unless it's from a Planet's Mini Boss and Planet Boss, and a Main Mission Boss, which would only allow for three which seems fair to me. This does mean you have to do some grinding, but it wouldn't be as much of a pain in the butt as Xenoverse was about it. 7. Currency, Acquiring items: Like other DB games you would have your Zeni, you can acquire items(Clothing, Capsules, Sunzu, Dragon Balls), but you can buy everything that you can pick up in the Story Mode and Open World environment, with the exception of the Dragon Balls, you have to find them on your own. You however, cannot but any of the Transformations, they come locked until you discover how to use them, you also can't buy the Kaioken or Ultimate power either. You have to Train with King Kaio and go see Elder Kaioshin and do his trials to get it. Also, you have to be a certain level for each Transformation and Power Up. This makes it where the game wouldn't be too hard, but it wouldn't be too easy either. It may sound too complicated, but if done right it would work and wouldn't come off as complicated. 8. Technology and Transportation: Of course you can fly from the start if your choose to, but you can learn how to instead. You can have any kind of Technology you want on any planet, the catch would be is you have to visit and fully examine each planet's Technology. You can have flying vehicles too(Cars, Motorcycle, Helicopter, Plane, Jet), this also includes Space Ships too. 9. Accessibility: You can choose to have all Technology and Vehicles open to all character from the start, but I would either have that in the form of a wish from the Ultimate Dragon, or it would cost you a lot of Zeni. 10. Exploring and Dragon Balls: Earlier I touched on Open World, but I think you should be able to visit all cities on all Planets and each Planet has their own home Base, now whether you're good or evil will determine where your home base is. I also would have it that you can destroy a hero's home base(Like Capsule Corp) and set up your own there. I would have all three sets of Dragon Ball too, so yes I would have the Ultimate Dragon Balls just like how they are in GT, but I would make few changes on how he looks. This also means if you want to gather them, then you have to travel to the other Planets to get them. You would also have to search the Earth for the regular Dragon Balls. You could also go to Planet Namek and find their Dragon Balls too. 11. Multiple Starts and Storytelling: I would have by default two different starts for each Race, which are the following... Saiyan (Pure Blood and Hybrid): On the original home planet, or Landing on Earth in a Saiyan Space Pod. Namekian: On Planet Namek, or Landing on Earth in a Namekian ship. Earthling: Training with either Master Roshi or Kami. Arcosian: Landing on Earth in a Arcosian style ship/On Planet Arcosia(Yep, going with that lol.). Cyborg and Android: Being activated for the first time, by either by Dr. Gero or at Capsule Corp. Bio-mechanical: Just reached maturity, being created by either Dr. Gero or at Capsule Corp. Bio-Tsufuru: Just reached maturity, either created by Dr. Myuu or already created and just arrived on Earth. Majin(All types and forms): Either just created by a wizard or just landed on Earth. Demon: On your home planet, or breaking through the dimensional wall from his Realm to Earth. Kaioshin: On Planet Kaioshin, or brought to Earth by someone like Kibit. No matter what I would have the game either start on Earth, or each race starts on their own home planet. As for the storytelling part, I would have this game fully decision based, so all of your choices effecting the ending. If you wanted to start off good or evil will be up to the player, and if you wanted to switch sides whenever you wanted and how many times you wanted you could. Heck, I would even have it to where you could be an antihero if you wanted. 12: Destructible Environments: Everything can be destroyed or blown up, every city and planet you wanted to be destroyed, but you can't destroy certain Cities and Planets if you have open main and side missions from those areas. 13. Character Roster: I would have every single Character from the Dragon Ball Universe, Manga, Anime, Movies and Specials. This means I would also include every Transformation every Character has used, and I would also include every Costume they've worn along with Hypothetical Transformations too. The ones that make sense and we almost had or could have had, so no LSS3 or LSS4 Broli. I'm talking about having Vegetto Base-SS3, a GT Vegetto which would be Base-SS4, stuff like that. Things that doesn't break the canon for main Characters, but ones that could've happened following DB logic. 14: Gameplay Style: I would just improve on what Xenoverse did, because I thought that was a great way to go. Make things to where you can't just spam Super and Ultimate attacks, and that would be easy because if you portray Transformations and Power Up the way they're displayed in the DB Universe, then you won't have a problem with spamming anything. A limited amount of Senzu's can be used in a fight and if s Saiyan drops below a certain level, then they can no longer Transform, if you use a form of Kaioken that you haven't mastered yet, then it drains you but you can deal out quite a bit of damage, but for a very short amount of time. However, if you couldn't finish the job before the Kaioken expires, then you're pretty much screwed. I would also have the drawbacks of the Super Saiyan Grade 3, but there would be a note saying it's only recommended if you're using it against someone vastly weaker or for a beam struggle. 15. Power Levels and Character Levels: That't right, I would have Power Levels, but I would have an overall Character level, there would be a minimum and maximum power level for each character level. Character Levels would be 1-100, so let's say when Kakarrot is training for the Saiyans, before Training starts he's a level 8 but when his Training is done, his character level is now level 11. I think this opens the door for power levels to matter, and the player actually has work for them, but it wouldn't feel like endless grinding either. 16. Custom Moves: This does go with Custom Creation, but I felt this deserved it's own number. The ability to fully customize combos, super and ultimate attacks, along with it's own animation. Say you wanted to do something flashy and part of your ultimate attack involved using the after image technique, but you want to add a combo and end it with a planet busting attack...well you can. If you want a special combo that starts with punches and kicks, but it ends with a ki blast, or you want a super that uses the Kamehameha but you end it by vanishing behind your enemy blasting them, so they get double the impact. Of course there would have to be a limit, or you would have some really hax level attacks, but the damage power level would depend on your own, and they would level up with you. This also goes for names and different colors too. 17. Fusions: Yes, I would have Created Characters able to Fuse using both the Dance and Potara. I would also let Namekian Characters have the option of Fusing with up to four Namekians. I would have the Fusion Dance be just like the real thing, along with the Potara. I would have the option to shorten the Fusion time with Player VS Player matches, the Potara wouldn't be permanent in PVP either. However, in the main open world if you use the Potara with someone, then you're stuck that way, but I would let the player have the option of Wishing to separate with the Ultimate Dragon Balls. I would also like to add that the story would be a new and original story, you could either have this in place of of the Original Story, or this could be a Universe where DB, DBZ, Movies, Specials, Super and GT all takes place in the same Universe and this game takes place after all of that...either one would work. Is this a lot? Sure it is, but this is my dream Dragon Ball Game. Could this happen? Yes it could, maybe not in this Generation but it definitely could in the next, which is about four maybe five years from now at the most. Alignment system anyone? Saw dat post Saber, and the whole time with the scenarios I was thinking about an alignment system with it. Like your Earth Aligned or Not. Kinda like Goku is a "Saiyan from Earth" so "Good" Earth Aligned Heroes start with bumps on their head or on top of a look out or something. And "Dark" Space Aligned Heroes would start launching from Planet Tuffle (Or Planet Vegeta depending on the timeline) or from Frieza's base on Kanassa or wherever. Know what I mean? Also the timeline would be great to change up. Dunno about you guys, but I'm a little tired of fighting Raditz. It's fun sometimes in a versus round, but I'm tired of seeing the same story and guys I've run into for thirty years. Maybe we could set it in the distant past. Or since it's likely a lot of races hadn't evolved yet, the distant future. So there'd be a new hierarchy. Post Super/Z/GT you know? And as you progress you'd unlock classic stories and their respective characters. So there'd be a lot of game play with lots of replay that doesn't feel "grindy" or boring. |

That's the beauty of it. Right below #17 I say the story would be a completely new and original one, so you wouldn't be do the same thing you've been doing all these years. Heck, it could even be done to where Raditz isn't even on Earth and someone else is threatening it instead. You could even go as far as unlike the original timeline the Saiyans actually leave Planet Vegeta and return to Planet Salad, and in this instance somehow the Tsufuru return and rebuild their race, and the Saiyans build Planet Salad up like it was on Vegeta. So yeah, I would completely screw with the original timeline and how everything works, and since this would be a completely original story you can get away with it. If this game was made and you had it, you just popped in the Disc/Downloaded it(With a game this large, I don't know who would download it lol). What's the first Character you create, what would it look like, what would be it's move set and would it be good or bad? |

You know, there was supposed to be a crap load more to that Post, but I guess I was so tired that it didn't turn out the way it was supposed to. Well, let me try this again... If you had a Dragon Ball Game and it had the ultimate character and full custom creation on everything, what would be the first character you would create? What would it look like and what would it's move set be? Any Race, Any Gander along with any Transformations you want too...literally anything you can think of. What would happen with some of the characters that haven't worn something aside from their usual clothes in the series? Would they just get alternate colors like in BT3? Cause that's pretty lame, since BT3 had very little to offer with alternate models. |

Well, let's take Piccolo/The Namek and use him as an example... He would wear his traditional Gi with and without the weights, there would be a battle damaged version and a training worn version(Basically it worn out/damaged from training), his filler clothes too, his Dragon Ball King Piccolo attire too(I know that's his offspring, but I think it's appropriate that he can wear it too), if this is Post Kami Fusion, then he can wear Kami's clothes too. So along those lines. This would apply to every character, so they wouldn't just get that one attire and that's it...besides it would be lame if it was only like that. As for my question earlier...this is my answer. I would be an Arcosian, with Four Transformations, but instead of using the Frieza method, I would take the Cooler approach and go in reverse of Frieza. So, each Transformation would increase my power, but I would be Transforming up from my Base/Initial form. Initial Form: Halfway between the height of Initial Cooler and Frieza, the muscle mass of Cooler, takes the lines on Frieza's face and have it go down his neck, outlining his chest and abdomen, it splits at the base of his neck line going across and down his shoulders, down the middle of his bicep and forearms, stopping at the end of his wrists, the other line goes down his waist, the middle of his thighs and shins, stopping at the base of his feet. No armor over his forearms or shins like Frieza, no purple orb like things on his shoulders either, but he does have that one on his abdomen and his head. His skin is jet black, with all the lines blood red. A tail that's only half the length of Frieza's. Transforming to Second Form: Take how Broli Transforms into LSSJ in Movie 8, but how Omega broke out of Nuova's shell. Second Form: Three inch spikes come out of his elbows, his entire skin takes on the look of layered armor, with armor now around his forearms and shins, but with the appearance of them coming out of the skin instead of them looking like they're just armor. The tail grows four inches, his skin color and red lines brighten up by one shade. Transforming to Third Form: Pretty much Frieza's Transformation from his 4th suppressed to his 3rd. Third Form: The Muscle tone of King Cold, his tail also bulks up the same amount, three inch spikes come out of his shoulders. Four inch spikes come out of his shins, his skin tone and red lines brighten up by another shade, with the lines on the layered armor look turning the same shade of red as the other lines, horns come out of the sides of his head standing five inches tall with the same layered armor look. Moveste: Base to 3rd Form. Basic Ki Attacks: Blinding Eye Beam, Shunkan Idou, Multi Form. Super Attack: Death Beam, Death Ball. Ultimate Attack: Volcano Meteor Rain, Solar Destruction. Transforming to Final Form: A cross between Frieza's 100% and Coolers Final Form from Movie 5. Final Form: His muscles bulk up like 100% Cooler, but with the height of King Cold. His skin color is charcoal gray, with the red lines now a maroon color. He now has armor covering his chest and abdomen like Cooler, but it also comes down to his waist with his skin underneath still having that layered armor look, the chest and abdomen armor has a matte black color, his eyes have stayed the same until now...the iris is black with glowing red pupils. The oval thing on his head(I really don't know what that purple look thing on Frieza's head is called), is now covered in an armored shell, covering most of his head but his eyes and mouth, with it's color matching his chest armor. Moveset: Final Form. Basic Ki Attacks: Lava Eye Rays, Retractable Spiked Rings, Shiyoken (Four Arms). Super Attacks: Lava Breath, Fire Drill, Fire Beam. Ultimate Attack: Inferno Wave, Molten Fire Rain. I also forgot to mention that his voice in his Initial Form has the same tone as Initial Frieza, but with more gravitas and sounding British, but by the time he gets to his Final Form it's deeper like Movie 5 Final Form Cooler, with rougher accent, but still sounding British, but the progression with his voice happens slowly with each Transformation. That's what I would start with if I had my dream Dragon Ball Game, but after that I would chose a Saiyan Hybrid, but I'll get into that later. Edited by Saberoph, Feb 8 2016, 12:29 AM.

I know a double, but it's more ideas and whatnot. I left stuff out when talking about clothing options for main characters...I would even have their street clothes as options, so I would have Kakarrot and Piccolo's clothes from their driving filler Episode...it's just too funny to leave out. I would have every clothing style out there, so say you wanted a V neck muscle shirt, but you wanted military pants, then you could have them. I would also treat the clothing slots like RPG armor slots, so you would have the following... Shirt, Pants, Belt, Left Foot, Right Foot, Left Hand, Right Hand, Left Wrist, Right Wrist, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder, Left Bicep, Right Bicep, Neck, Crown and Eyes. If you wear a helmet, then it covers both Crown and Eyes, and you can have armor on top of your shirt, and the same with your both arms(Shoulder to Hands) and legs(Waist to Feet). I would also add way more scouter options, as in styles and how they function and each race would have a different version of a scouter. The same would go for Armors too, each race should have a different version of that too. Edit: I forgot to bring up the whole point of me making this Post...silly me. I would have all characters and versions of those characters in the open world and other planets too, and you could explain how all of these versions of these characters could possibly exist in the same timeline. You go all the way back to when Trunks traveled back and forth multiple times from the past to the future...it left small fractures in the timeline and over time instead of it repairing it's self they started to get larger over time with all the insane power increases and shock-waves coming off all of these power, that nobody was ever supposed to be able to become this powerful and with all the God Powers, it ended up ripping open this timeline along with the surrounding timelines, and time's way of repairing things was to forcing all the timelines together, merging them into one because the damage was just too great for the timeline to properly repair it's self. So, what happens here is all Alternate Timelines, the 12 Universes, Movie Timelines and GT have merged together into one massive Timeline, and in this timeline you have multiple versions of every characters, including What If characters too. This means you would end up running into a sane version of Broli, even a good version of Broli too. The same with Kakarrot too, you would end up running into an evil version of him if you travel to Planet Salad, and with this being a completely new and original story, nothing happens the same way it did in the original un-merged timeline. Not too much of a fan of all the timelines/Universes being merged. It would be terribly confusing meeting the various versions of characters without clear design changes, or dimensional barriers (which would void the whole "Mass merged Universe" thing). You would need to implement a system so the players clearly recognized that the characters they were encountering/interacting with were different from one's they've encountered/interacted with before. ...or you could go the route of Marvel's Battle World or something... |
