Home Alone Kid vs Jigsaw

Given the resources in a hardware store and a day's worth of prep time, who is deadlier? Home Alone kid I think is more creative whilst Jigsaw requires large and complex rigs

Jigsaw's traps are very elaborate when he's trying to pull his "Live or die, make your choice" tests. If he's just trying to kill someone, the most variety he's shown is "tripwire, shoot gun/make poison fall". He's never really shown off any traps with just stuff you'd find at the hardware store. I'm sure he could make something with like a wire and a hammer, but in the end, his creativity with these is rather low.

Kevin's creativity with these kinds of things is absurd, everything from just dropping a brick on someone's head to nail traps hidden in tar.

Don't forget the time he used doves as a weapon. Though that probably wouldn't kill anyone.

John Kramer is far more intelligent and more experienced, since he creates weapons out of metal and builds it like a boss. Kevin might be slightly more creative but he doesn't have the same amount of resources.

Kevin just wins on being luckier, even if Kramer has insane luck when it comes to intelligent people having a lot of time knowing he is Jigsaw.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I don't see how creating weapons out of metal is more boss? He knows more about engineering, but that only really helps if he's got the tech for it. You can't exactly find giant bird cages, acid, or shotguns inside of a hardware store afterall. Most of John's experience with traps is done on victims who have been drugged, and a good amount of the time, it's not even him doing it.

I understand that he's got more resources, but I limited them both to a hardware store so his resources don't help here.

Well then, you're making it very easy for Kevin to win against Kramer.

Pft, they have access to the same gear and both can't exactly fight physically. Both rely on traps and Jigsaw is pretty much just Kevin grownup.

It's not really too unfair. Be glad it isn't the kid from the Good Son, that was Hannibal Lecter in child form

What do you think could make the battle more equalized?

Good Son kid is crueler. Jigsaw's traps are more torturuous to be sure, but that's more due to having more resources to do them with. Jigsaw in the end has a noble goal, even if he's completely delusional about it and more than likely just justifying it to himself. The Good Son kid, on the other hand, is a sadistic little demon child for no real reason other than he's bored.
