I thought I'd get the ball rolling since the fixtures have been released.

This looks like it could be a very interesting season with the likes of Bournemouth and Watford competing in the Premier League.

Probably works out for Madrid considering his contract's up at the end of this season. They'll most likely get him for free now.
Or they won't because there's a possible transfer ban happening for them next summer.

They can still sign him. Barcelona are banned from transfers but signed Arda Turan. He just can't play for them until the ban has been lifted in January. So Madrid could sign him, loan him out somewhere, then play him when the ban is lifted.

FIFA are spineless when it comes to bans and stuff. Remember Luis Suarez's supposed ban from all footballing activities for 4 months? Oh but wait, he can train at the club. Oh yeah, and he can play in friendlies. But he's banned from all footballing activity. Except those.

Meh, it seems like it would be a two-year ban. Then it would be different.

Doesn't look like Arsenal are signing anyone. Is Wenger arrogant or what?

He's stupid to not sign somebody. Man City seem to be the only team challenging for the title this year, and if Arsenal can either add a proven goalscorer, or improve their defence with a better centre-back/defensive midfielder, they'd put themselves in the title mix (assuming those transfers panned out of course). The way they are at the minute, they aren't contenders.

What is the best signing of the day?

Aaron Lennon to Everton?

van Dijk to Southampton is a very good signing. A little biased seeing as I sort of half-follow Celtic, but he is a very good player. Remains to be seen whether he can step up to the Premiership's level of play, but if he can acclimatise like Wanyama has, he'll do very well for Southampton.

Leve Feyenoord 1!

It's about time Van Dijk gets selected for the Dutch squad.
Danny Blind is picking Ajax' reserve players for f***'s sake. 0 Feyenoord players. Biased much?
Usually I'd say we'll just lose to Iceland and Turkey and the problem will solve itself, but we can't exactly afford any losses anymore.

Tete and Riedewald probably isn't intended to be used in the first team. Perhaps there were injuries on other players. In the case of Janmaat, he has been in terrible from this season so it's understandable that he's been dropped by Blind.

De Gea has signed a new contract with United. That's a big turnaround from almost losing him. Even if he does end up leaving this summer (although obviously the plan would be to keep him), at least they won't be losing him for nothing.

Now I'm convinced, West Ham is getting their results in reverse.

Next week Norwich City, guess that'll be a 3-0 loss

That's why I hate football and the snap judgements that come with it (I'm not excluding myself from that). If Liverpool win tomorrow, then suddenly their record doesn't look as bad with their only dropped points being a draw against Arsenal, a loss away to Man Utd and at home to a West Ham team that beat both City and Arsenal away.

2 games in and Martial has 3 goals. Early days yet, but he's definitely proving his worth early on.

Liverpool should have won today. Just not good enough. We have to be winning these home games when our opening run of away games is so tough.
