I thought I'd get the ball rolling since the fixtures have been released.

This looks like it could be a very interesting season with the likes of Bournemouth and Watford competing in the Premier League.

What a crazy game Liverpool vs Norwich was. One of those games where you just forget about all the s*** defending and enjoy the excitement.

The West Ham vs Manchester City game was good too. West Ham were excellent.

Man United season ticket holder here, don't like to see managers being sacked but I think LVG needs to go, Jose in!

I'd rather not have Jose after his botch up at Chelsea.

He'll have learned from that. He's an incredible manager any club should be lucky to have.

Chelsea draw Manchester City in the fifth round of the FA cup and once again Arsenal play Hull. Pretty happy about Manchester United getting Shrewsbury as well.

Blackburn is a decent prospective draw (if we manage to get past West Ham) considering their place in the Championship. Can't believe we've got to play yet another replay though.

Edit: Guardiola to Man City is official for next seaon. So stupid, I mean, Pellegrini could still win the title this year, which would make it 2 titles in 3 seasons (and a 2nd place finish in between), yet he'd be out of a job. It really does sum up football's current treatment of managers. The grass is always greener on the other side, even if you're winning titles.

To be fair, Guardiola is a better manager and Pellegrini's Manchester City is lacking in depth. I mean, look how useless they are without Kompany and Aguero. A team at this level shouldn't need to rely on two players to carry it. Guardiloa will bring stability and balance to a fairly shallow team.

You think Pellegrini will come to United?

Whether he's a better Premier League manager remains to be seen. Not saying that he won't be, but the shift in style could prove tough to adjust to. Unless their thinking is that they're less bothered about the league (which explains their disregarding Pellegrini's domestic success) and want success in Europe.

Possibly. I honestly think Mourinho will be Manchester United manager, especially now that he can renew his rivalry with Guardiola at City's rival club.

I can't stand Mourinho. I don't care that he is a brilliant tactician. He's horrible.

Well, I've officially lost hope for a top 4 finish from Liverpool this season. 11 points would be hard to make up if we were playing well, which we are not. I guess it was too much to ask for Klopp to turn a struggling, poor defensive team into the top 4 in 3/4 of a season. That's by no means a poor judgement of Klopp btw, this season is basically free money for him. He can only really start to be judged after a full off-season and once he's been able to purchase/sell players and shape his own team, not an inherited one. But yeah, it's depressing. That almost-beautiful 2013/14 season was almost a bad thing, to be reminded of what it's like to actually be a great team again.

I really hope this means we make a push for the Europa League, especially with a relatively easy last 32 draw. It's a viable route to the Champions League and has the added benefit of silverware. A League Cup, Europa League double and a 5th-7th place finish wouldn't be too bad a season.

Leicester won't finish in the top 4 (and if they do, it will be an immense achievement, something completely unprecedented in the Premier League era). I feel like a curmudgeon, but I don't understand how people can actually think that they will. It would be an achievement for a club like Tottenham or Everton to make Champions League, let alone someone like Leicester. I hope this comment can be proved wrong at the end of the season, because it makes the league more interesting, but I just don't believe it will.
Well, looks like I'll be proved wrong (and like I said, happy to be so). Top 4 seems guaranteed even if they end season on poor form, which from today's game doesn't seem likely. The title next, and while I'd still consider Man City favourites, barely, I've learned not to doubt Leicester's credentials. Just a brilliant footballing story, shows that you don't need to be a big club or spend s*** loads of money to make the top 4.

Assuming they do make the Champions League, what does everyone make of their chances to sustain that level of play? I mean, it's not like they've spent themselves into trouble that will bite them in the a*** later on. They'll most likely maintain their whole squad (who's going to want to leave when they can be part of a historic team and play in the Champions League?), so it'll come down to how wisely they invest the money. Next season will be a bigger challenge, but it's not like they'll have a bigger target on their backs than they have now. Teams know how good they are, yet they're still winning, and they'll be underdogs in the Champions League, so no extra pressure there. They'll need to get a bigger, deeper squad to cope with the extra games, but I really hope they can build on this.
