Wonder how legit. It saids(or says more grammar correct?) Quote: Dragon Ball Super's story will take place shortly after the decisive battle with Majin Buu, and will contain plot elements that tie it to the recent Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' film. The characters Beerus and Whis will return from the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' films as regular characters in the series. The magazine also contains a preview of the first episode's story: After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present. So..this is before the 2008 Yo Son Goku return? Wow Professor Gohan! I was right!

Beerus and Whis are still there, so unless it's ignoring Battle of Gods, it has to be after Battle of Gods, unless the first arc has a number of time skips.

Though I don't think DB the time of show to have new plot every episode. Man wish they will tell us >.<. There's support for before BoG, After 2008, after Bog but before RF, and even after RF. I wonder if they themselves know. The first season or few episodes could be everywhere in timeline placement.

Favourite Manga Family Friendly Version of the Steve Austin Show.	I'm guessing it will start pre 2008 OVA and have multiple time skips and end post FnF.

Furthermore, if Beerus and Whis do make an appearance, prior to the Jump Special, it would be 39 or so years before Battle of Gods, as it is stated that Beerus had slept for 39 straight years. So this is before even BoG!? Interesting choice of timeline. Yeah and here's the summary of episode 1 or chapter 1, provided by Herms. Goku imagines fighting Freeza/Cell/Boo while farming; Goten's off from school and is helping him out. Satan shows up and offers him money from the world peace prize (kind of sounds like the DB Earth equivalent of the Noble). Goku refuses at first (he wasn't the only one who fought Boo after all, and even Satan did his part), but finally agrees to accept some of the prize when Goten points out that with it, Chi Chi will probably allow him to stop farming and go off and train at Kaio's. Meanwhile, out in space Beerus is having a big meal prepared for him by the inhabitants of some planet scheduled for destruction (the idea apparently being that he'll spare the planet if he likes their food). The aliens poison the meal, but it doesn't work on Beerus. Ultimately Beerus destroys the planet as scheduled, but the name of one of the dishes (the "Soup Yasai Jinkot") rings a bell with him: it reminds him of the "Super Saiyan God" from his prophetic dream. Beerus and Whis decide to head back home, so that Beerus can try and remember better. Meanwhile, the Kaioshins are keeping tabs on Beerus: East Kaioshin notes that a planet has been wiped out, while Elder Kaioshin has an uneasy premonition. So, Goku seems set to head to Kaio's to train, while Beerus only knows of Super Saiyan God from his dream. I wasn't thinking of them in the trailer, I was thinking of them being in the main cast. I fully support your theory about timelapses, but Whis can still appear alone even if the series beings Pre BoG. Like Ace said, as long as he never meets Zet-Senshi he can appear alone or maybe talking to the Oracle Fish. Beerus can also be shown dreaming maybe? He wakes up with a theory about Super Saiyan God afterall.
