If each Universe is simply an alternate version of the regular Z-verse, then they're limited quite a lot. The Universe-building possibilities of 12 separate, unique Universes is huge, but chances are we'll only see different versions of heroes/characters that we already know, if the Beerus and Whis we see really are from one of the other Universes.

Of course you are. I just find it counter-productive is all. To be fair, being happy with it is hardly productive either. The series will be as it is regardless of the opinions of random people on the internet from the other side of the world. Whether we are happy or sad with it is pretty immaterial, it's whether the Japanese kids in the target demographic like it that matters. So yeah, people's opinions are fine either way. Personally I'm not a fan either.
