Nintendo was kinda disappointing. Every game they announced or gave more info about was a spinoff, except Star Fox Zero, Fire Emblem Fates (strangely not called "If") and Xenoblade Chronicles X. I've never played an Animal Crossing game, though I'm interested in playing one, but even I was disappointed that they didn't announce Animal Crossing Wii U. And they baited us twice! I mean, do we really need Mario Party: Animal Crossing Edition? And it requires Amiibo too! Amiibo was supposed to be a fun optional thing in games, but here you have to pay for the game and the Amiibo's if you wanna have fun! though I assume there will be bundles. Everything else was fine though, but the lack of Zelda Wii U info was disappointing. Games I'm Interested in: -Star Fox Zero -Zelda Triforce Heroes -Hyrule Warriors Legends -Mario and Luigi Paper Jam -Fire Emblem Fates -Super Mario Maker (Very hyped) Maybe: -Xenoblade Chronicles X -Mario Tennis Ultra Smash -Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer -Yoshi's Wooly World -Metroid Prime Federation Force Don't Care About: -The rest I do like that they announced and talked about a lot of games. I also enjoyed the puppet segments. Overall: 7/10
They had the Smash Bros Challenger Approaching thing on Sunday, so that's why they didn't say anything. It was enough. Also if anything, it's good that Game Freak is taking their time on a new Pokemon game. Game series's that get yearly releases several years in a row, like Pokemon, usually get crappy after awhile. While it hasn't happened to Pokemon yet (though ORAS was a bit disappointing IMO), it's good that they're taking their time to develop the next main series game. |

Not a massive gamer, but I'm pumped for the Final Fantasy 7 remake. I was worried that it would be a Playstation exclusive, since I have an Xbox, but I think it's just an early-release exclusive, which is great for me. Edit: And yeah, ORAS felt a little disappointing for me. It was good, but I preferred X & Y myself, by a long shot. I was just thinking the other day that it's been quiet on the new Pokemon game front. Wonder whether they're just taking a break, or if they have something big planned. I disagree it's high time Pokémon went on the Wii-U even a Stadium game would be something... Fair enough if they don't want to release handheld games every year but it wouldn't matter if they announced something for the Wii-U now. Or at least info about the NX. There was just barely anything here and wayyyy too much time spent on Mario Maker. Can they just not be bothered anymore and want fans to create games but praise Nintendo for it? tons of emulator programs you can make Mario games with already. Obviously not as good as MM but...it's really not all that, did they think it would steal the show?Even Microsoft made their games look cool to someone who doesn't like them that much at all. That Star Fox game looks like it should have been out years ago. |

Sony > Bethesda ~ Microsoft > Nintendo ~ Square Enix > Ubisoft ~ EA IMO, anyway. Forgot to talk about it earlier, but Horizon: Zero Dawn looks absolutely phenomenal. |

I'd have EA, Ubisoft and Nintendo in a tie really they were snore fests. Though at least Mirrors Edge and Battlefront were a little exciting, Unravel looked pretty neat too. Yeah I thought that was that Hellblade game at first looks awesome. I actually missed most of the footage but what I saw was cool, fantasy plus machine world? I'm game for that! Just the PC gaming show left now. Been a fairly great E3 so far. Hopefully the PC stuff isn't all early access games like DayZ, H1Z1 and Stranded Deep but some actual huge titles. Wonder what would happen if Half Life 3 was announced? Between that, Fallout 4, The Last Guardian and the FF7 remake I think the world would just fall in to chaos and destroy itself. That's just too much. Highly unlikely reveal but you never know. |

http://www.pcgamingshow.com/ PC up now. Guess I am watching it after all wonder if Gaben will show up...Right...so Gears of War Ultimate Edition or whatever is going on PC and presumably GoW 4 is also going on PC(can't remember if that was already said) Kind of stupid if you ask me like...why get it on X1? If they just put all their first party exclusives on PC what's the point in having an Xbox at all really. Something like GoW should be a title you can only experience on Xbox. Kay yeah PC gaming show is the most boring so far unless they announce Half Life 3 I don't see the point it's literally been a bit of Deus Ex and devs of various games just talking. I feel so sorry for the people sitting there waiting for HL3 they all look so disappointed pretty much all Twitch chat is saying too whenever someone seems to be announcing something they get all excited and then it's an indie...

Their reactions echo mine. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Shenmue 3, MGSV and Horizon: Zero Dawn are all Day-1 pick ups for me. |

I will wait on the reviews for all of those but I'm not buying Metal Gear because I don't actually like that it's an open world game. With Final Fantasy VII we would do well to realise that it is being made by Square-Enix and not Squaresoft like the original was. This is a company well known for poor decisions regarding game design. Basically I am expecting something quite disappointing and not in the spirit of the original game. Of course I hope to be proven wrong. I really do. Never played Shenmue. Can't really say much about it apart from that I've heard the original games could be quite uneventful due to places being inaccessible at certain times of the day. Also Quick Time battles. Yey. ![]() |

To be fair, this is totally different from any other Final Fantasy game Square Enix have worked on. They answered fan demands because they want to make a huge profit, and they're going to do everything they can to deliver so the sales will be enormous. At this point, they realise that if they **** up FFVII, that's it for them. |

Honestly I don't quite believe that. I think they're basically just going to make a fast paced Crisis Core open world version with just an FF7 skin. Swear to God if it doesn't have the epic mini games... I think it's going to be too much of a third person action game and too serious a take where the original had many lighthearted moments. Highly doubt they're going to include stuff like Cloud's gay experience anyway... As for day one. Phantom Pain Collectors, definitely. Fallout 4 Pip Biy edition DEFINITELY. No Man's Sky unless something really sticks out as bad about it. Maybe Horizon though need to know more. Battlefront, probably but standard edition doesn't look all that. Great E3 overall anyway thought it might end with a bang but it started fantastic. |

Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that Cloud cross-dressing is going to be in the game, and actually told fans to look forward to seeing it, so they're likely going to keep in most, if not all, of the funny/ridiculous scenes. The battle system is going to be different whichever approach they take. The turn-based ATB is in need of updating and the materia system is going to have to be overhauled. They said that they're going to deviate from the the source material, which is perfectly fine, as it's a remake, not a remaster, but I could see them either improving the ATB or going for a system that's similar to FFXV. Either one would be good, really, and a lot of fans want to see a fresh new approach, surprisingly enough. Whatever they go with, they're going to get heavy criticism from a large portion of the FFVII fanbase. Personally, I'd be happy with an updated ATB and them keeping it extremely similar to the original FFVII, but I'd be just as happy seeing a fresh new approach; if it all goes wrong, the original is still there for the people who're big fans of the systems in it. I also have a strong feeling that the Xbox One isn't going to get it. The fact that Square Enix haven't even hinted or indicated that the PC port of FFVII is coming to the Xbox One is a big tell, imo. Edited by Yu Narukami, Jun 17 2015, 09:03 PM.

When they remade the first six Final Fantasy games, they kept the turn based combat. Granted it was probably due to 2D limitations but it also shows that they're willing to stick with the tried and tested. I really hope they do because I am not a fan of FF15's battle system to the extent that I probably won't buy that game. There is another potential issue for me. In Final Fantasy Zero when you move the camera, it blurs the screen until you stop. I do not want to see that s*** in this remake. It is far too nauseating. |
