You're not a fan of Dragon Ball Z. I say this because you evidently don't hold an iota of respect for it. No, you seem to care far more for something else from 15 years ago that just happens to have the same name and use the same footage. You evidently care so much more for it that you would actually see a brand new series sabotaged just to appeal to your tastes for the old one, because the previous mangling "didn't bother" you. Which I find absolutely abominable.
If you were a fan and cared for DragonBall Z, you'd agree that Base Goku > Frieza. -_-

I completely disagree with you dude. Your 'fact' is actually your opinion. I don't see anything wrong with using faulconers music instead of the intended. It didn't bother me before and it doesn't bother me now. Besides, most of the dvd compilations have fully optioned audio so what's your problem?

You think it's wrong, no worries. Have your opinion! But it isn't fact.
I couldn't care less whether or not you disagree. Everything I've said about the lack of merit in replacing the score is absolute truth, and anyone with an ounce of artistic integrity in them can see that. But if you want an example of an actual opinion, I'll give you one:

Lol! Geez you're angry over this aren't you? Relax.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the show! Just because i prefer a different soundtrack to the SAME show does not mean I'm not a fan. I'm allowed to have preferences, and so is everybody else who's ever enjoyed a good dbz episode or two. Just like yourself!

I'd hardly call my preference "abominable" or "detestable" just because you don't share it.

It's not just entertainment. It's art. Nobody would suggest or condone replacing the music in things like It's A Wonderful Life, or The Godfather, or Star Wars, even if they thought they might like something else better. What makes DBZ so much less deserving of that save respect?
I think you meant same not save. ;)

ENJOYING the other score is not (much of) a problem.

Actually wanting FUNimation to keep on replacing music just to suit one's personal tastes IS a problem.

How is the distinction not being made clear, here?

KABOOM MAKE SIMPLE. REPLACING MUSIC BAD. NOT OPINION, COMMON SENSE. FUNIMATION NOT DO.

It's not funny. It's not good. It's harmful to the series, its reputation, and its fandom here in the US. But people actually WANT it to happen because of their nostalgia boners for some random replacement synth-keyboard-banging that had no business even existing. It's mind boggling.

Sure yeah. It's art. We just want our art to sound the way we grew up appreciating it.

Your opinion of how art should be treated shouldn't be forced on everyone. You don't make these decisions. Despite how passionately you feel about the subject it is just your opinion. You can pass it off as fact all you want, but it is not.

I guess all I can still say is thank God that FUNi is staffed by people who actually care about DB now, and not you guys.

How about I make this simple for YOU?!

NOT EVERYBODY AGREES! YOU NO 100% RIGHT! YOU BE UNREASONABLE! FULLY OPTIONED AUDIO! WHATS THE BIG DEAL?!

Geez! That's why they gave you the optioned audio to begin with. I find the different soundtrack to be a different version of art suited to my taste. Which is why they gave us an audio option on the dvd.

Edit: harmful to the series? If so many of us prefer it and we're drawn in by it, how could it possibly be harmful? Sounds an awful lot like an "opinion" you have there mate!

USA is not japan we dont like the japanese soundtrack its awkward and weird as f*** as an american (not hating its just a culture difference)

IF FUni didnt dubb DBZ and Use Bruce falconers tracks it would of never have been as successful in the united states thats my opinion but i would honestly say its close to being a "fact"

sounds to be u just want to act "cool and different" by wanting japanse soundtrack so go ahead, go watch a dbz in subs or orginal japanse and let us americans enjoy our Funi Dub's with a good soundtrack

oh and btw if funi has enough funds to make KAI im sure they can spend some money to get a bruce falconer soundtrack

"I am the bone of my sword."

Every time I hear someone moan about Bruce Faulocner, I can't help but I think elitism because this isn't like Funimation's music didn't fit with the series. in fact, it fit perfectly and its music is what gave it so much emotion. Vegeta's theme, Cell's theme, Boo's theme and just the tunes in general always gave that emotional feel to the series that I personally felt the original Japanese score, other than specific themes, couldn't hold a candle towards.

Cell's death with Bruce Faulconer's music is infinitely better than the original Japanese score. I've heard it, its bland as hell. Hearing Vegeta's music (Hell's Bells I think its called" just really puts in the emotional aspect.

Personally, I think Kuchiki's score is so bland and boring in comparison, not just in regards to Faulconer but any score for DBZ now a days. It's a shame Yamamoto had to be caught up in all that plagiarism because I'd much rather listen to that then the old scores made by Kuchiki, I honestly would.

I know RIGHT?

thats why youtube has like a million uploads of themes and thousands of views because Bruce Faulconers soundtrack is actually widely popular in the USA , let the numbers speak for them self....

If I had the ambition to do so I could strip the music from Kai and lay over Falconer's track over it. I have the know how in Sony Vegas to do so and I used to do recordings for most of the bands in my high school.

I'm just laaaazy.

I grew up watching the Funimation dub with Bruce Faulconer's music. I know that anime purists will probably s*** all over the dub and his soundtrack but I like it. That soundtrack is very nostalgic to me and I couldn't really imagine watching the series without it.

I am familiar with parts of the Japanese soundtrack but to me things don't sound quite as cool without Bruce's themes. In a lot of cases the original soundtrack just sounds goofy to me.

However since most of the films in recent years have used the original soundtrack I doubt they'll change it for Dragonball Super as time has moved on from then.
