Both are at full power and aiming for the kill instead of being cocky.

Sauron is not a planet buster. He barely survived a continent busting blast being dropped on his head and it took away his ability to become beautiful beyond that. Alduin would murk Sauron.

And Alduin is extremely cocky. Like, cocky to the point of using a mortal form when his true form is the size of a planet. However, whether this is him or the prophecy in action is debatable. Since Alduin was destined to be defeated by the Dragonborn, there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop that since prophecies don't change in the ES verse. Regardless, all of the Daedric Princes are weaker than Alduin, and all of them can match Sauron's feats and more(Mehrune's Dagon in particular pulls off natural disasters while limited to the body of a little girl and Alduin wrecked him, according to Michael Kirkbride).

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Sauron can warp Earth like nothing and he's Morgoth's Starscream. And I'd say "world-eating" refers to what we humans know and call "the World", which is the planet where we stand. I mean, how would he devour the Universe? Are there really creatures powerful enough to bust dimensions on the Elder Scrolls mythos?
Anu created the universe as a side effect from punching Sithis, I'd say so. Alduin isn't as powerful, but he's the seventh strongest of the gods(second most powerful at the time of Skyrim due to a lot of the others being indisposed). Alduin being capable of devouring the universe refers to the fact that Daedric Princes and gods are realms unto themselves as well as planets. If Alduin can not only devour the god or Daedric Prince, but their realm as well, that makes him a universe buster. But it's all very ambiguous and not very clear cut at all.

Also, Sauron's reality warping is nowhere near as impressive as even the weakest of the ES deities. Even the Graybeards can shake the continent with their shouts, nevermind what the actual powerhouses can do.
With wispering.....imagine a full powered dovahkiin 's fus ro dah in the lore....would create 10 degreen earthquakes
