I tried RS3 today for the first time. I can't believe that's runescape. So different. It was too laggy for me to get a real experience though so idk if I like it or not but here's what I think so far:

The game was a cluster f*** which was annoying. Especially the interface. Jesus Christ what a f***ing eye sore. Way too much going on. The graphics are weird looking now. It's really hard to get the game to run smoothly too. I don't feel the dark gritty medieval vibe I felt from runescape. It's lighthearted now and looks like a Disney game that's trying to copy world of Warcraft. Just feels like a little kids game now. Ugh. It's like they're trying too hard with it. I almost got a headache from this game probably because of the lagginess and cluster f***.

The mix of simplicity and complexity OSRS has is just so much nicer and easier to enjoy

I like how you can switch from eoc to legacy mode though so I might give it another try later but as of now idk I dont care much for it and that probably won't change a lot

I much preferred EOC over oldscape. At first I was pretty hesitant, but objectively it was just nostalgia that was making me feel that way. Combat is far better and actually requires some form of skill, unlike before where you mostly just clicked and relied on your stats, and the only form of skill back then was learning how to exploit the combat system (I was a maxed ranged tank), and timing your special attacks and swiftly switching weapons, etc. Now you have to think about which skills sync well together, cooldowns, enemy cooldowns, and so on.
