Have you guys ever held onto something from your childhood? I was looking through my draws and I found a ton of books and stuff. I remember most of them, like my nan gave me a bunch of these books in the early 2000s, and I found some things like a Pokemon drawing book and Goosebumps. They're pretty kewl. Also have this little electronic device that apparently tells jokes. I haven't seen it in about seven years and it doesn't work anymore. I have a few corny joke books as well. They sux but are good for nostalgia.

Found a s***ton of PS1 games in my draws as well but I barely played the system. I guess they were all my brother's games so I have no idea how I got them. I still have my Wind Waker that I got back in like, 2004. The disc is less damaged than some of my 360 games l0l. I liked those little discs the GC used. Should've been the norm.

I still have my N64 and DK64 back from when I bought them originally. Plus a myriad of other things.

i'm way too attached to old things, l0l.

i still have all the magazines, i bought when i was a child before we had internet & came to london (like anime, gaming magazines & stuff). that was a lot, even my sisters still have their teen magazines, l0l.

i even keep packages of products sometime like a chocolate or sweet packaging, just because i had it a time where i had a good time. even though a lot of them got thrown away by my parents because they were in my clothes, l0l.

I found my old Pokemon Blue and Crystal games a couple of years ago, it was almost like a wave of nostalgia hitting me.

Unfortunately, my Crystal version is unable to save due to the internal memory being gone. :(

That's the saddest story I've heard all year. :'(

My brother threw most of my old stuff out when I was a teenager. Have no idea why... he went in my room and cleaned out my cupboards and threw pretty much all of my childhood away. Wrestling tapes and memorabilia, games, board games, trading cards, even my early childhood teddy bears >=( so I've got f*** all from the past. I was devo when i got home from school that day! He didn't ask me if i wanted to keep anything, he just launched it all.

All of my video games that I have were all bought from that point on, I used to have SO MANY snes games, ones that cost a small fortune nowadays. Ones that i can't afford to buy nowadays >=(

What a dog c*** ay?!

Yes, if your story was filmed it could have won an Oscar.

It's so beautiful & heartbreaking. :'(

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I've moved house a bunch of times (I'm talking upwards of 10 times), so that's made it harder to hold onto things from my past. Things get lost in the move, or you have to downsize etc. There are things I have kept hold of though. The two that come to mind are ornaments: one's a tiger that I had bought for me when I went to the zoo that I've had since the age of 11(ish), the other is a block of glass with the Liverpool FC badge engraved into it that was given to me when I was 12-13ish. I'm not really an ornament person, and I couldn't even tell you why they mean as much as they do to me, but for some reason those two things have become items I treasure, things I'd want to keep hold of wherever I go (I even took them to Australia with me when I planned to move there). I'm sure there are other things I've kept hold of, just none that I've purposely kept hold of because they mean a lot to me (outside of the two things I mentioned there).

Apart from those, not much really. I think my mum has a lot of school stuff, like old reports and workbooks etc.

I still have all my old DBZ tapes, magazines, books, drawings, etc.

In a suitcase, I have old stuff I used to write: plans for the perfect DBZ game (oh brother), music, journals I kept of my passing life experiences, journals from school, even an Anakin Skywalker journal (haha).

I also came across honor roll awards and my prized, broken trophy (damn you, Mother!), top reader medals and awards, old report cards, Star Wars books (and a Star Wars comic that I will soon sit down and read), books, magazines, posters, cards, and more.
