What is Asexual for humans?

Spoiler: click to toggle

I will come off as a jackass but...I'm Goken and probably won't care. But I got a question. I know what asexual is. I know what it means. But the question is why. I shouldn't question people actions but with the way the human program is built. Is Asexual is when the human mind believes it's too populated?

I know I'm being confusing as I'm a naive little bastard. I thought of this today when my cousin came over. Was driving and saw a nice looking girl which brought up sex. I said "Hey you're almost 20. When are you going to lose your V card? You don't need a girl. I can get you a few sex buddies or some one night stands.". IN which he laughed. He told me he haven't kissed a girl or ever been attracted to one. I calmly ask(as IDC) if he's gay as I have some gay friends. He said he's asexual and probably never have sex or kiss anyone. I thought he was joking around but he told me look it up and I was shock to see that it's real. I only knew of Asexual reproduction. The definition of it is...
Quote:

Asexuality (or nonsexuality)[1][2][3] is the lack of sexual attraction to anyone, or low or absent interest in sexual activity.[4][5][6] It may be considered the lack of a sexual orientation, or one of the four variations thereof, alongside heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality.[7][8][9] A study in 2004 placed the prevalence of asexuality at 1% in the British population.[7][10]

There's even protest about it.

I'm probably making a big deal out of nothing. But I just wanna know how? How can someone not want to least kiss someone. I don't bother him about it but it did take me by shock.

If humans was still..more like other animals (we still got instinct) would asexual still be a thing? Or is asexual something humans created and label?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I don't think it's something we've created. Sexual attraction (or in this case, the lack of it) is something that occurs naturally. If somebody lacks sexual attraction to anyone, regardless of gender, they probably lack the chemicals that form sexual attraction (or have some sort of biological mess-up in how those chemicals interact). I would assume that it occurs in other animals too, like homosexuality, but I'm no expert on the subject (as you can probably tell).

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time."
"Next time?"
"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."
