Who wins in a fight between the two movie versions of Spider-Man? This is a brawl and not who was the better version of the character. |

Garfield is faster and more skilled, but Maguire is stronger. Garfield should be able to win because he doesn't fight like he's half drunk the entire time. |

Garfield struggles lifting a car. Maguire can at least walk a little bit after stopping a goddamn train with his body and webs.Garfield is much more agile, but that's it. In the first Maguire movie when Spidey snapped out and raged he s***stomped Goblin, and that Goblin was arguably above Garfield, so I'm giving this to Maguire. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

The Goblin in the first movie has trouble with a brick wall falling on him. Garfield gets slammed through walls and is fine. |

Both are very durable. Maguire is physically stronger and may be more durable, but Garfield is definitely the more agile one in day to day combat (although Maguire dodging Goblin's weapons in the burning building is fairly impressive). Perhaps it would come down to who was more intelligent. |

Garfield had some science know-how, but Gwen did a lot of the work for him as well. More intelligence than Maguire regardless |

Yeah Garfield easy. Smarter, faster and more agile, wayyy more skilled. Reflexes far superior also. Not to mention he makes use of the environment really well whereas Maguire just goes in and swings around like a madman. Maguire has strength but nothing else. Who's web is stronger? Maguire's is quite weak, Garfields is designed to be made in to cables capable of pulling airplanes around. Best example of Maguire's is probably the carriage thing it holds on the bridge in the first movie, it snaps kinda easy there. Does well to stop that train but he has to use a buttload of it. Can't think of strength feats for Garfields web. |

It can survive Electro's electricity being passed through it(only the web shooter malfunctioned), but other than that, it held Lizard down rather well |

I'm going with Maguire. Stronger, more durable in terms of blunt damage, not much slower and IIRC agility, and environment usage is similar. Garifield will be tagged and he'll be feeling Maguire's hit's more than the other way around. Still a close fight though. Oh and @ Steve, that "carriage" was the Roosevelt Tram Car which weighs a bit over 11 tons when empty and over 20 tons when fully loaded (Source:http://www.rioc.com/pdf/Tram_backgrounder11.24.10.pdf). There were people in there but I wouldn't say it was fully loaded so at min it's over 11 tons. And that was just one strand holding it. The best I've seen ASM webs carry were cars which are at best one-third that weight. I don't see how Maguire's webs are "weak". Edited by DSTREET45, May 25 2015, 05:02 AM.

Green Goblin tore it apart easily enough and Green Goblin really wasn't all that in the movies. |

I agree with this, from what I can recall from the movies (it's been a while since I watched them). Toby Maguire's Spiderman was far more derpy than Garfield's as well if I can remember correctly. Derpyness doesn't help you win fights, whatever the movies might have you believe. |

He's the same guy who carried an 11+ ton railway tram and kicked Spider-Man a considerable distance through three well spaced tables and still had enough force to snap a light post in half. ![]() I don't see why breaking Maguire's webs is a low showing for the webs. |
