Metal Gear Excelsus vs 2014 Godzilla

Excelsus is being piloted by Akane from GXMG(just because she seems to be the most competent pilot) and both Akane and Godzilla act in character. So Godzilla isn't going to do atomic breath from the get go and Akane is bloodlusted pretty much.

I think that if Godzilla used the breath from the beginning, he'd win. But since he doesn't, Excelsus's HF swords should make quick work of Godzilla(they destabilize molecules as they slash and considering the feats of smaller HF blades, they should be more than capable of slicing Godzilla in half)

Even without knowing much about MG in general, I feel lke Fatzilla might lose this.

Here's the battle against Excelsus. Excelsus's best claims to fame are being able to tunnel through concrete and rock with great ease in a couple of seconds and surviving being flipped at high speeds without any injury. Also, it's got HF swords which even at the size of a regular sword, can bisect a fifty foot tall robot(the area of effect on the blade is far longer than the actual thing)

Now that I look at it... It might be even less of a problem than the male MUTO. By a large margin aswell, holy jesus is that thing small.
It must be like, 150ft tall or something. Even the 1954 Big G could pierce through that.

Those plasma cannons might be a problem, but that's pretty much it.

1954 Godzilla couldn't even explode cop cars and failed at burning people's corpses, let's not take it that far.

And as for the size, well, HF blades can cut well above their size class.

Cutting the Metal Gear in the background was done with an HF blade only the size of a regular sword, imagine the wounds the HF Blades on Excelsus would leave behind.

Also, the male MUTO fought with no intelligence whatsoever and did not have molecule destabilizing blades to use. The Excelsus is also substantially faster than the male MUTO, as it can at least somewhat hold its own terms of speed vs Raiden(Raiden was somewhat encumbered, but Excelsus had lost two limbs by that point). Also, the Excelsus's exact dimensions are in the realm of 52 meters high, 70 meters long, and 90 meters wide, so it's pretty much the same height as the MUTO, but far wider and more squat. And yes, I am aware that the official height for the MUTO is taller, but that refers to it standing straight, which is almost never did in battle.

I doubt Bestzilla would hold back his atomic breath if he got hit by the sword without immediately dying, and at the speed Excelsus moves, he's not getting one shotted.

Godzilla loses maybe an arm or his tail before destroying the thing.

2014 Godzilla has terrible damage soak though. Relatively minor wounds(compared to what Excelsus is going to be dishing out) from the MUTOs had him squealing and lying on the ground, unable to do anything. In fact, he spent an hour getting slapped around like a wet fish by the MUTOs. He's tough, yeah, but whenever he's hurt, he cannot recover from the hit quickly at all. Kind of like Jet Jaguar, actually.

Also, Excelsus really isn't all that slow either, at least not in comparison to Godzilla. It could move its sword arms at a decent speed as shown when it had the sword fight with Raiden. That was with one arm only as well, with two arms, it could attack far more swiftly.

Godzilla can move pretty fast, at least in combat. He was able to hit the male MUTO into a building before it had time to react and catch up to and sneak up on the female one after being hit by a falling building, at which pont the fight was all over. For something that's depicted as a lumbering reptile, that's pretty quick. Besides, Godzilla was pretty much fine in the MUTO fight until he got hit by a building. Sure, he wasn't on his feet for much of it, but it's not like he was defeated, or even really hurt, it's just he couldn't keep his balance because he was fighting two opponents, one of which was constantly pulling him into the air. He was clearly still pushing back and fighting all the while. His solo fight against the male gives a better idea of how a fight against something with a bit of a speed advantage would go. It gets a bit of damage in, but he quickly countered and destroyed it.

This Godzilla's pretty smart, as soon as he sees that the metal gear has blades, his first priority is going to be to remove them or destroy the thing entirely.

The male MUTO was flying at him in a straight line and Godzilla had plenty of time to see him coming. That wasn't an impressive showing of speed by any means, the MUTO practically asked to be smacked. The male threw away his speed advantage when he flew in such a predictable path. Sneaking skill has little to do with speed and sneak won't matter against a machine with all matter of IR cameras and sensors.

Godzilla was not fine, he was just surviving. He was screaming to high heaven and unable to do anything. He couldn't retaliate for an entire hour, couldn't even use his atomic breath for an entire hour. His atomic breath either takes ages to charge or Godzilla likes to let people beat the snot out of him for an hour before using it.

And this Godzilla, while intelligent enough to recognize bombs, showed no strategic thinking. He didn't open up with the atomic breath for some reason. If he had, he might have been able to win without getting the thrashing of his life for a full hour(going by the clock on the bomb)

No strategic thinking? Are you forgetting when he got past the female MUTO's basically invulnerable exoskeleton by breathing atomic flames down her throat? After using the fact that she was distracted and enraged by a human to sneak up on her? Does that somehow not qualify? Besides, surviving an hour of assault by two enemies who are working as a team and constantly stabbing you is doing fine. He came out of it without much harm, and was still able to dominate each of them individually afterwards. The MUTOs couldn't kill Godzilla, they just knocked him around, as I said. If Excelsus could become two mechs and still fight at the same strength, then you'd have an argument. When it came to fighting one MUTO at a time, they barely scratched Godzilla. He clearly had a strength advantage over the female, and the male's superior speed and agility did basically nothing to help it.

The atomic breath is a drain on his radiation, which he needs to survive. It's like throwing up to attack, you'd reserve its use for emergencies, too. Since he didn't take much damage from the MUTOs, he saved it until he realized that physical force couldn't kill the female.

Her exoskeleton wasn't all that. She was out of the battle for quite some time after Godzilla blasted her, I doubt she would have survived a second shot regardless. Also, considering Godzilla's ineptitude in the rest of the movie, I would think him "sneaking" was more so a coincidence. He survived because he's Godzilla and he's tough, not out of any sort of fighting skill or strength. He was putty to them and getting wrecked. He dominated them invididually because the MUTOs are weak. The male was impaled on regular building crossbeams and the female was unable to do anything without her boyfriend backing her up(at least the male could harass him a bit). The male's superior speed actually helped him out quite a bit. He was able to survive the encounter in Hawaii and did most of the work in restraining Godzilla's head. Then he just grasps the idiot ball and flies at Godzilla in a straight line and at the slowest speed possible.

Where are you getting any evidence that Godzilla has a limit on his atomic breaths? This isn't mentioned in the movie at all, and the previous Godzillas spam that thing like no tomorrow(though it doesn't matter since they aren't canon to him anyway).

The difference is that the MUTOs grasped the idiot ball at the worst of times and didn't really have a big enough weapon to kill Godzilla. Excelsus has twin plasma cannons, each of which can bisect a building and basically destroy a city block(at minimum, since that's calcing from the RAY's much smaller plasma cannon). And more importantly, Excelsus has giant HF swords and is being piloted by Akane, someone who won't just have the Excelsus stand there and roar while Godzilla charges.

I would think atomic breath draining one's reserves of atomic power would be kind of obvious. It may not be true to the old Godzilla, but, like you said, we're not talking about him. He's also the one who used it to fly like a jetpack made by a four year old. Given that it's specifically said that Godzilla uses radiation for nourishment, it's no stretch to say that using it as a weapon isn't healthy.

Besides, regardless of whether it was entirely necessary, attacking the female's insides was strategic. Mindless animals don't really just do that. Also, a monster that size being able to get to another without being seen or heard isn't likely to be coincidence. What "ineptitude" are you referring to, anyway? Not immediately weakening himself when the fight started by blasting them, without sizing them up beforehand? Not being able to kill one giant monster while another is carrying him away and they both push him into the ground, stabbing all the way? The MUTOs aren't weak, they're regularly seen destroying buildings and wrecking military weapons and vehicles with ease. It's just that Godzilla is stronger. The male MUTO flying directly at Godzilla is a good example of why you're underestimating both fighters involved. Godzilla grabbed the MUTO, threw it into the city, and turned so his back was to it. He also knowingly looks at it as it turns, showing he's got an idea to fake it out. Since doing so has gone well to that point, the male flies at his back, likely trying to throw him or grapple him into submission until its mate returns. Godzilla whips it into a building, partially crushing it and impaling its neck. Again, Godzilla may lose to two opponents, but he doesn't mess around against one, and can defeat it rather easily. Unless there's two metal gears, it has no chance of doing what the MUTOs did.

I have a question that might be out there but, how would tjat HF blade hold up against Atomic Breath? Its more of a beam in this, and I wonder if the hf blade can cut it.

If I'm piloting Excelsus I go for the legs quick and bring the rest of big zilla down.

This Godzilla's atomic breath is supposed to be more like an explosion than a beam or fire, though it does look like a beam.

As for cutting it... I don't know if it would work or what it would accomplish if it could. The blade could probably briefly block it, but it'd likely get vaporized soon after.

All Godzillas are highly capable of outsmarting entire armies and amaze human scientists. The exception is this one you call "Bestzilla". He's more about brute force and raw power all due to him being an animal (which he shouldn't be) with just some big brains, enough to think some things through. But when it comes to strategies, he doesn't have one, unlike his japanese original counterpart.

Still, the MG Excelsus would perish after a long fight. That machine cannot keep up with 90,000 tons of sheer muscle.
