This was humorous, but what do people mean by "Goku is maximum"? He's the strongest and the best character I guess. I was making a joke about how Goku always wins (especially in anything Toei has control over) even though it gets boring and predictable. With the way the new movies are shaping up, it seems Goku will indeed end up as the strongest, even though Gohan was at the end of the manga. Ssjgssj2 and ssjgssj3 are utterly ridiculous but it wouldn't surprise me if Goku achieves them just so he can leave Vegeta in the dust.

The saiyans will once again dominate the show, and all the other characters will only show up for nostalgic value or comic relief. I also can't help but feel a bit pessimistic about it. I can't help but think that the new show will feel like a forced attempt to milk the s*** out of DBZ's long-lasting fanbase. I'm super afraid it won't feel like a genuine new series, but a concentrated version of recycled ideas from the past and crazy new gimmicks just to get DBZ's name out there again and profit as much as possible from it -- which isn't so bad in theory, it's a business after all... but I guess what I'm saying is that I'm scared it won't have the same passion and the same drive behind it. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

But the thing is that the Justice League doesn't just have Superman show up and fingerflick the villain. Avengers doesn't have Thor or Hulk destroy everything in the area without help from their teammates. The new trend in DBZ seems to be Goku taking all the important stuff for himself and leaving scraps for the weaker characters.

This is how 99% of fans feel, but still it's hard for Goku not to be the finisher everytime because the focus of the franchise since page one has been on Goku. Any good author (E.g. Toriyama) realizes no story benefits from growing outside of its scope. So it "seems" Gokue either has to always be the finisher or we don't get any new content. I place quotation marks a rounds seems because being the finisher does not have to be the only answer to being the focus (e.g. Goku losing in the tournaments). It can be the exact opposite if the story's purpose is to reveal growth through failure. I just hope Toei realizes this and doesn't screw this series up.

I imagine we'll be getting new cast members that'll get to do things. I also imagine Piccolo will get his time to shine at some point in Super.

Pan will exist and while having to explain why her hand is in the cookie jar, will go SSJGSSJ3 in anger at this injustice. Goku will be the only relevant character, while Vegita gets left in the dust. Beerus will get addicted to donuts. But stop once he sees fat Beerus. More seriously I imagine Goten and Trunks will get alot more focus as they mature, and Goku will be THE main character. Edited by Tinny, Jun 19 2015, 12:20 AM.

The funny thing about Broly is that he's a joke in Japan. He's more popular in the West. And it seems like the first episode will be focusing on Goten and Trunks looking for an present for Gohan and Videl.
