Nope. It's a timeless classic on a great first 3D console from Nintendo.

I think it's a little over rated but not nearly as much as a Link to the Past or Majora's Mask.

No way. Not in my mind. There are some other Zelda games I like better, but the experience and replay value of Ocarina of Time was, for me, pretty damn memorable. I would have no problem playing it again today, and I would still have fun.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I'd say yeah, it's good but it's not that good.

Wind Waker is where it's at

I also prefer Wind Waker and I certainly didn't find the sailing boring like a lot of people did.

Only to people that are jealous of the fame and success the game has achieved. It is my favorite Zelda game in the series though objectively speaking, it's probably the 3rd best only behind A Link to the Past and The Wind Waker.

IMO, OoT is much better than MM. On the topic of console Zelda games, this is how I would rank the all the console Zelda games...

ALTTP > TWW > OoT > MM > SS > TP > LoZ > AoL

It's a good game but I consider it overrated. Pretty much every other Zelda I've played has been more enjoyable 2 me.

If people think its the greatest game ever made, then i think its over-rated.

Because that title belongs to Super Mario Galaxy

I think it deserves all its accolades, considering the time it came out it was a pretty amazing achievement for Nintendo. It deserves all its praise if you focus solely on when it came out and how good the game still is to play, but is it the greatest game of all time?

No.

At least not in my opinion. I would definitely say it's one of the best Nintendo 64 games ever made though! It really set the tone for what games were leading up to, and it transitioned Zelda games into 3D very well. I much prefer majoras mask over ocarina. But if you're talking Zelda, ocarina is always the first that comes to mind, and for good reason. It left some massive shoes to fill as far as future Zelda games are concerned, and it was difficult for them to top it. So difficult that they felt the need to make twilight princess, which revisited most of the original ideas of ocarina of time and followed a similar story and gameplay structure because the fans were that angry over majoras mask, which aside from the looks and familiar characters was completely different.

A link to the past was better imo. It's far less tedious, and less of an effort to pick up and play. But I am bias, I grew up on a link up the past, not ocarina!

I never got into the Zelda games. They all were weird experiences to me. They weren't really that grand, nor that creative. They were the usual tales of a hero saving a very strange world.

Ganon was probably the only thing I found awesome from the games. Ganondorf is fine, but Ganon is rad beyond belief. Look at this thing, even the more kid-friendly design is sick and cool as hell.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
