Since Vegeta has reached the super sayian God 2 form (that's what I call it) can we atleast say that Vegeta has the power to beat all tthe characters in the original DBZ series.
Making him stronger than such names as Super Buu, Buuhan, Gotenks ssj3, Goku ssj3, and maybe even vegito?
That's still an amazing feet even in today's standards

Brag about what? He's still inferior to Goku, Beerus, and Whis. He won't be happy until he's number one.

His being inferior to Goku is highly questionable.

Even if they are equal, they are only equal because Vegeta involuntarily holds back, as pointed out by Whis. And Vegeta only cares about surpassing Goku, not necessarily the likes of Whis and Beerus.

It's really not. I mean Whis says Vegeta's always one step behind Goku. I think they're equals as far as battle power goes, but Goku's the superior fighter.

They had equal battle powers during their fight in the Boo saga and they were completely even. I think Whis is referring to the past and trying to enlighten Vegeta on why he's always a step behind Goku. Vegeta believes he trains harder than Goku and comes out weaker, I think Whis is just trying to tell him he's actually not operating at his full potential/capacity.

That must've happened after the Boo Saga then since they were 100% equal in their last fight.

That's very true. But do you at least think he can beat all the original DBZ characters?

From the summary alone there's indications that Vegeta is weaker than Goku. When Freeza transforms to his golden form Vegeta nervously declines the chance to fight, while Freeza fights Goku equally.

Why would Vegeta decline to fight? He's never done that before except if you counted the Cell Games, and that's because he was still confident in winning after Goku fought.

"I am the bone of my sword."

If Vegeta's ego didn't have it own gravitational field he could've bragged that he took on Goku and the forces of Earth and whooped Goku so badly that he essentially broke every bone in his body. In short, Vegeta single handedly took on Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Yajirobe and who else knows or cares and took everything they threw at him.

Kaioken? Get real

KHH? Not enough

Genki-Dama: Still going

Several beatings here and there? Determination knows no bounds.

Oozaru Gohan? Finally it's like, alright this hurts a bit let me go. And he could still move. Basically, it took everything the heroes could do to just get Vegeta off the planet and the one thing that finally did it, Oozaru Gohan, was nothing short of blind luck on their part.

Vegeta has a lot that he could brag about ever since he showed up. But his ego is so massive that even more defeats are just too much for him apparently.

Vegeta's never really picked a fight with someone stronger than him, unless he had to. He did try to run away from the Ginyu Force, and tried to stall fighting Beerus for as long as possible.

He picked a fight with 18 just for the sake of it. He also tried to take Perfect Cell and Freeza on his own, not even asking for some backup

I should have said somebody he knew was stronger than him.

He can sense ki in reference to Freeza and Cell. With 18, he ignored all of Trunks's warnings and strode right up to her

I thought people who had already seen the film have said that Vegeta 'nervously backing down' was not true and the synopsis we've seen was just written in a bit of a misleading way regarding that part of the film.
