This is like you disagree with Akira Toriyama's work, just show some gratitude guys, DBZ is alive for real because of him and that happened mostly because of the existence of BoG, stop going of topic. Too much fangasm with Gohan and this overrated subject about canon,non-canon. Just accept this guys, GT and movie 1-13 are not canon! Also about Gohan's Mystik form, I think is just a transformation that surpass the Super Saiyan 1,2,3, I never thought that during the Mystik form is possible to transform in SSJ, even in games you can't, Mystik being the last,strongest form for Gohan. In RF Gohan completely lost the Mystik form because of not training, if he didn't then why not used vs Frieza(without the golden form) and to have greater resistance? Still I wanted to ask if is true what I think: does Gohan's Mystik form is weaker in BoG because of not training? It seems that SSJ3 is stronger than Mystik in BoG. Given that Toriyama initially intended #19 and #20 to be the Androids that Trunks spoke of, and only changed course because one of his editors (iirc) told him that they looked too silly to be the main antagonists, it's an interesting question of whether #17 and #18 are as valid as the others due to the fact that Toriyama probably had to come up with them in a very short amount of time. All of my what. #19 and #20 were supposed to be the "big bads" of that arc. Toriyama's friend (previously his editor) laughed them off and asked when the real villains would arrive. He did the same for #17, #18. He also encouraged that Semi-Perfect Cell hurry up and achieve perfection... because of how he looked. Let's say I make a topic "Mystic Gohan vs SSJ3 Goku (Buu saga)". According to the manga (and logic), Mystic Gohan would stomp, according to the BoG, Goku would win. Again, there isn't a definitive canon, but fans have always separated the manga from everything else, it's just more convenient and more coherent as the manga doesn't have any major plot hole or inconsistency that would make debating it impossible, like the anime, GT and the films have.

Battle of Gods is also 4 years after the Boo saga. Plenty of time for Goku to get stronger. Honestly though, Goku, pre god, doesn't have to be stronger than Gohan in this film.

But Vegeta with the raging boost puts up a MUCH better fight against suppressed Beerus than Gohan and Gotenks do, making Roshi say "He's even stronger than Goku". So according to BoG, Rage Boost Vegeta > Mystic Gohan and Gotenks (judging by the film alone, it's unclear how Gohan and Gotenks compare). I would even argue that Roshi's comment implies that Rage Boost Vegeta > SSJ3 Goku > Gohan, but that's just speculation. What is clearly implied is that Vegeta is stronger than Gohan and SSJ (maybe SSJ2) Gotenks which is simply absurd.
