Not technically. We live in social housing so it's actually owned by an organisation.

My Dear Melancholy,

Social housing is an umbrella term referring to rental housing which may be owned and managed by the state, by non-profit organizations, or by a combination of the two, usually with the aim of providing affordable housing.

You stay pay for stuff in a rental house. And because your mom uses your dad's money. He's paying bills.

Buy your own food and refrigerator if you have a problem with it. Or just move out. Seems like basic s*** you're complainng about. If daddy made you turn the lights out when you sleep are you going to complain? His house. His rules. His $$$ his rules.

Do you pay for anything? Bills? If not then be grateful he's letting you live there since lots of people kick their child out at 18.

Some of my rent goes towards the food bill actually. And I am trying to move out but it's not easy.

Are you paying house rent or are you paying parent rent? Is your parent charging you or is your landlord?

So you're complainng about your dad whom you pay rent to because you live with him is eating food that mom bought using daddy's money with some extra change from rent that you pay.

. Buy your own food and refrigerator. Understanding money is tight. Stop complaining about basic s***. It's marshmallows and food that he brought. It's a reason why people tend to say "I'll do what I want with my money.". Cause it's true.

What about if you did some of your own shopping from time to time and then discusse it with him. Like, "yo dad, I went shopping today and got a couple things for me. If you please leave those as I am really looking forward to having them, that would be great."

Obviously I'm not refering to an entire cart full of stuff. But surely you can grab some Pop Tarts, pretzels and soda, or whatev. He might respect that and appreciate the fact that you got your own food.

It's not just about me. His greed means that everyone else misses out too. The amount of times we've gone to get something and been like where's that gone? Oh John's eaten it all again. It's all very well saying it's his money he can do what he likes but we all live in the same house. He's greedy and it's not fair on everyone else.

I do feel that if you are contributing to the rent, you should get a bigger voice in the situation. Have you tried talking to him about it? I understand that you can't just tell your dad to stop eating everything in the house, but you can rrespectfully and politely point out which foods you prefer to have around. Maybe a little communication could help things out.

No

attach the food to a fishing rod and sit on his back with the food in front of him and make him walk around so he gets some exercise.
