| What if Chi-Chi became a full-fledged Z-Warrior? | |

It's weird people forget just how talented Chi-Chi is. Not only was she able to breeze through the preliminary rounds of the 23rd Budokai but she was able to keep a Match level Weighted Goku on his toes at the same tournament (he even made a few surprised reactions when she attacked) and can easily match Namu's super high jumping feats plus she can fight perfectly well in the air. Muten Roshi... a moon-buster... even went outta his way to praise her upon witnessing her abilities. She's easily 22nd Budokai material. This is a significantly sharp contrast from how she was back when she was just 12 years old where she was a largely untrained child... who was able to outrun and kill T-rex's while being scared... which shocked Yamcha and Puar from how strong she was rather than from how deadly her helmet was... then with only 6-7 years following, she becomes a confirmed martial artist master (evident from her training of Goten) who's trained in the style of the Turtle School with just her father as a teacher (who's PL is likely no higher than 60-70) whom she surpasses by a great deal. I personally feel the direction Toriyama-sensei took with her character (especially for most of DBZ) severely undercut her growth as a fighter. Such a waste of talent I'd say. Now I wonder how far she'd go if she had the same training opportunities as the Z-Warriors did. |

Chichi possessed some level of potential, but the strength and technique we saw from her couldn't have originated from nothing. As you said, it's likely that the Ox King tutored her in the Turtle fighting style at some point behind the scenes. Compare her to Yajirobe who to our knowledge held no formal training whatsoever yet he was on par with 22nd tournament Goku. I'm assuming that his latent potential was even greater than Chichi's. If she were given the opportunity to train with all of the martial arts masters and regulated artificial environments introduced in the manga then I could see her overtaking Chiaotzu and maybe Yamcha. |

You know how people use Yamcha and Chaozu's death as memes? Chi-Chi would join their ranks |

Yeah, but they get mocked for the stupidity in their deaths. What makes you think Chi-Chi would suffer the same feat? |

She tried to slap Super Boo. I can see her trying to defend Gohan in a rage mode and getting fodderized for her trouble. |

But she never specifically thought she had a chance against Super Boo (unless you count filler) unlike Yamcha (with the army of Saibamen) and Chaozu (with Nappa). She just couldn't stand looking at the monster who killed her eldest son for an extended period of time (1 hour) and not being able to do anything about it. Big difference. |

She had a lot of potential but in all honest I only see her at Yamcha tier if she ever became a Z fighter herself. Tien or Krillin just seems to much for me to place her at, perhaps between Krillin/Tien and Yamcha tier. |

She'd honestly turn into a dead weight pretty quickly. I'm sure she'd contribute to the Saiyajin onslaught, but would become pretty much useless afterward, much like the rest of the Earthlings. The only reason Kuririn lasted as long as he did was because of his Kienzan, and Tenshinhan just got one glory moment in the Cell Arc because of his Shin Kikoho.

I don't understand what's so stupid about Yamcha and Chaozu's death. Yamcha had no idea the Saibamen could suicide bomb and Chaozu did something incredibly brave and honorable to save his friend. At least Chaozu deserves a lot of respect for the way he went, twice. |

If Yamcha wasn't busy gloating, he wouldn't have been caught by surprise. Whether he knew they could self-destruct or not is irrelevant. People mock Chaozu's sacrifice generally because he isn't an interesting character. He contributes nothing to the franchise as a whole too. I'll agree though, what he did was entirely selfless and commendable. Edited by ThePrinceOfSaiyans, Apr 25 2015, 07:11 PM.

Alright, I can agree with Yamcha. He's supposed to be a super fighter, but gets get caught off-guard by a Saibamen. Doesn't look good. Chaozu however does deserve more than what he gets and importance has nothing to do with it. |

Yamcha (and everyone else there) thought the Saibaman was dead (or at the very least, out for the count). I don't get why this gets ignored so frequently. With that said, Chichi doesn't have the same potential as Krillin, Tien or Yamcha. She'd probably peak some where inbetween Chiatzu and Yamcha. |

I guess we have the others to blame too. It's rather suspicious the Saibaman would get killed so easily. |
