Is there any food that's easier to eat using chopsticks than a knife, fork or spoon? |

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I don't think so, but, that's because I'm not natively grown to using them xD. I think the same applies in reverse though. |

They're good for picking up things without barbarically stabbing in to them but that's about it. How the hell are you supposed to eat rice with them? See it in anime all the time but in my experience rice doesn't stick in magical little balls you can hold with two sticks. Have they harnessed the ultimate power of rice magnetism? They're more of a novelty utensil as far as I'm concerned, only really good for bite sized finger food. Imagine eating a steak with them you'd look a right t*** lifting a whole steak up getting the juices everywhere. An even bigger t*** trying to cut it with chopsticks. |

Good way to practice hand dexterity I guess? Every time I go out for sushi or something along those lines I eat with chopsticks, not really a reason to though I guess. Maybe a metal fork is intrusive to my taste buds. |

honestly the only thing i like using them for is noodles (even like white ppl spaghetti, not just azn ppl noodles). i can never get them to work properly with a fork i dont have a problem using them with anything, but 99% of the time it's just flat out easier using a fork or tongs |

Something to point out, if you ever go to a Chinese restaurant and see the workers on their break, they're usually eating with forks and spoons. Even they seem to understand the impracticality of their ethnic eating utensils. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Apr 19 2015, 02:47 AM.

Cooking with chopsticks is awesome. Especially noodle dishes and rice dishes in a wok. I only ever eat Tofu dishes, noodle dishes, with chopsticks. Pho and Bun has to be served with chopsticks or I will not eat it. |

Why do you think Asians are so skinny? They'll be eating rice with chopsticks only able to pick up a few grains for a while and they're like f*** it I'm not hungry anymore Just kidding I can use chop sticks pretty well not just for sushi. Asian rice sticks together and clumps and it'll be easier to pick up |
