Sorry, what is the question?

When I read that for the first time, I thought the woman was making fun of old technology.

I guess she just assumed you can only read in the library, a lot of the time, especially in fiction, you have people just going to the library to study, rather than taking the books out.

You have to learn everything for the first time, and she learned this particular bit of information for the first time now. I don't see the big deal.

Yeah, I can certainly see how she could have only seen the library as a place where you go to read the books. I mean, it's only stupid because you know the answer already. It's definitely not the stupidest thing I've heard.

Leve Feyenoord 1!

I've heard people ask this before. Especially at libraries at universities or schools, many people go there because you have to be quiet and because people study there, it's only logical to assume that is its purpose.

You might not realize it but the library is a unique place. I can't think of any other place where you can just borrow something for free.

Some people just don't show any interest in the library their entire life. The only reference they have of it is "I'm going to the library", or variations of that, so it's understandable for them to see it just as a place to go.
