"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

Just six days at the top of the list as the world's oldest person, the world's oldest person (Gertrude Weaver of Arkansas) has passed away at 116 years old.

She was born in 1898 in southern Arkansas. Some records show that she was born in April, but she always celebrated her birthday on July 4th. The nursing home she was living at was planning her birthday party, in which Gertrude was hoping to invite Obama, of whom she'd voted for twice.

The former oldest person in the world was Misao Okawa of Okinawa, Japan. Okawa passed away last week on April 1st at 117 years old.

Weaver's passing makes Jeralean Talley of Inkster, Michigan the oldest person in the world. She is 115 years old, and was born in 1899 in Arkansas.

"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice"

It still blows my mind that there are still individuals who were born in the 1800's. They must have some incredible memories.

Man. These people are pretty awesome. Able to do something not a lot of us will achieve. We may or may not reach immortality in our lifetimes, but cmon, these guys did it without that. It's like playing Contra without the Konami code. Much respect.
