Best "saviour" type hero?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season. Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Who would you say is the best saviour/Jesus figure in anime? Someone the people of their world look up to as a figure of inspiration or someone who like Naruto makes everyone a good guy. For me it comes down to Naruto and Luffy, Luffy isn't quite there yet but he's heading in that direction. Ultimately I'm not sure who'll be the supreme saviour out of the two.

And Luffy hasn't saved a dozen different islands from destruction and can count lime half of the most powerful crews in the series as his allies with years of story still left to go.... The question is how the characters are viewed in their series, not what you think of them overall. Naruto is a pretty massive saviour figure in that series and Luffy is well on the way in his own. Are they the best characters? In my opinion no but that doesn't matter because that's not what the question is and acting like Naruto or Luffy aren't saviour figures in their series is absolutely ridiculous.

Their actions were more for the greater interests of the people (albeit taking it to extremes). Char was looking to save the earth, by having humanity move to space to give the earth time to heal from the damage humanity had brought upon it. Full Frontal was looking out for the interests of spacenoids in the face of the Earth Sphere Federation's corruption (though using Laplace's Box as blackmail to force the ESF to give Zeon it's independence). Neither of them had any personal desire of their own, with Full Frontal going so far as declaring himself as a vessel filled with the collective will of the people. They also had very good leadership skills - both of them able to hold Zeon remnants together with just their charisma alone. That, and they have piloting skills that were above and beyond most other pilots, and weren't afraid to step in to the front lines if the situation ever called for it. Neither of them succeeded in the end, but still.

Nothin Favourite Manga Nothin	Cat-faced brat is annoyance redefined Rubber-man is an obnoxious character with stale gimmick "inspiration"...."motivation"... The extent you guys go to glorify Nakamaboy & luffy...that too by giving reasons like saving village, cleaning public toilet etc. If saving people is all it takes to make the list, comedian/gag character Mr.Satan alone should suffice. Despite being a vastly underpowered fighter (compared to Zetto senshis) & a glory-seeking hound, Mr.Satan certainly helped "saved" Earthlings in Cell & Buu Saga. Wanna talk abt inspiration. The guy is an Icon of Tenkaichi Budoikai & his fans (kids, grown adults & even geezers) consider Mr.Satan to be the Hero, Warrior & "savior" of mankind. Even a gag character frm Dbz could give Nakamaboy a run for his money... Saying we have to view how the characters impacted their own shows is just ridiculous, considering the topic is general and an "overall" question. If using lip-service or better known as talk-no-jutsu is all it takes for "Dattebayoo" to make into this list, Mr.Popo solos. The guy talks to Chibi Goku & literally killed his overconfidence, post defeating Piccolo Daimou & instilled the sense of staying grounded in face of victory or defeat. That's pretty much the point of those characters. Whether they're annoying or have a gimmick or they're underdeveloped or whatever is not what the OP is asking. Who's the best at fulfilling that role is the question, it is not an overall best character question. The only reason you're slating Naruto and Luffy is because you're very biased against them, as shown in every single post you've made in this section regarding them.

Now Im biased Saying I'm bring biased to iconic guys as Yagami Light, Lelouch, Van Hohenhiem would at least mean deep, thought-provoking fellas are not of my favs Nakamaboy/luffy are comparable to poop & flies. They are as deep as toilet-tissues, heck, aren't even the most likable/interesting characters in their own fu***** shows Misuta Popo would easily make the cut as "Jesus of Anime" if a flop ninja & pirate could even be considered making into the list Expecting more rofl posts sayin "Naruto changes people by changing their Diapers every 3 weeks once. More than motivating people around him in the War Arc to wear Diapers, it requires insane pyhsical strength & durability. Hence, he is the legitimate diapers savior in his world"

Safari Favourite Manga DragonBall/Z, Naruto, Death Note, Yugioh!	Forgive my lack of knowledge at anime, but to be honest i only know about a few anime protagonists. As far as "saving the world" goes Goku is at number one. He saved earth multiple times and even Namek. At Cell arc thanks to him and is son the universe was once again saved. Also in the Buu arc he pretty much killed a being who can crush the universe and the after life. Naruto and Luffy are similar to, and Ichigo a bit i think. Yami Yugi also saved the entire world from the shadow games and Zorc (counting the anim by Leviathan to).

He does save the world and the universe many times but not that many people know about it really. Which is what I'm getting at, not who's saved the most amount of people or the most amount of times, who's changed their world the most essentially. I guess Mr. Satan would sorta count he's only looked up at like a saviour because apparently everyone in the world is an idiot but he's still viewed that way. Edited the title so it's not just protagonist.

I'd definitely put my hat out to Naruto and Luffy, both make pretty huge statements in their respective manga, with Naruto inspiring virtually everyone in the war, and Luffy going ham against the world government and building dat rep. I can't remember what else I've seen :<

Satan was an Iconic Figure in DragonWorld & with a Goku statue next to him, it only explains the level of reach the dude had
