@mitas: Dont ever tell me what I cant do! No animals are plaything. It mostly depends upon a trainer. The only difference between a chihuahua and a bear snapping at a stranger is the size of the bite, not its ancestry as a creature. Though yes, some animals are hard to train properly. |

Nature can be weird and unpredictable. But it can also be very charming and cute. You'll never know how, when or why you would friend any kind of animal. Even domesticated ones, they're still wild to some extent. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

I won't lie, I'd totally have a pet fox if I could. Not that I have any idea how I'd take care of one. |

If people want to get a tiger as pet, they have to always be careful, and one of the ways to being careful is never forget a tiger can easily reach 200lbs to 400lbs. Even if a tiger is playing with you, your children and wife would at risk because of the weight difference. And it's been shown that if you allow a tiger or lion to keep knocking you down, then most likely they will keep on knocking you down, they might even go to the next step and start biting you. http://www.tigers.org.za/jaws-and-teeth.html Edited by olliebalollie, Apr 9 2015, 04:04 AM.

Alright here's a question. Hypothetically, if it was only as dangerous and hard to take care of as dog or cat, what would you want? I think I'd pick a tiger |

Yes. So much yes. You can actually get domesticated ones, think they're very expensive though. I don't have a problem with wild animals as pets, it's fine if you know what you're doing. Celebrities buying tigers and whatnot just to be cool is not okay though the animals need to be domesticated. As dangerous as they are the same could be said about dogs once upon a time the only reason they're so easy is that we've domesticated them of thousands of years, so much so that virtually every dog breed is man made. It's not like dogs were always lovable cuddly lumps of joy, you wouldn't walk up to a wild wolf and expect it to play fetch would you... If they're raised properly any animal can be a pet, provided they're fairly intelligent obviously a jellyfish wouldn't be much of a pet just...there. |
